A dream to photograph…

This little guy was an absolute dream to work with… So peaceful! Barely woke and was so easy to put back to sleep. The last two days of newborns have been so rewarding–making me love my job even more.

Here he is…
Christmas Elf!

How sweet is this little mouth?

His growth item…

Better not pout…

This is just gorgeous, if I must say… LOVE IT!

Oh and for the photography buffs… They had skylights where we were shooting, so it was an instant hair light. So cool!

Thank you W family… Little Ben was so good! Congrats on such a precious son…

A blessing…

All babies are blessings, but this one in particular is an even more special blessing… A blessing to a family that wasn’t expecting to add a new one, but we all know that things don’t happen as we plan. They happen according to His plan.

Congrats ‘H’ Family! There is a special place for people like you and I’m grateful there are people out there like you. The little guy couldn’t have found better parents than you!

Here he is…

Look at how tiny he is in my basket!

Isn’t this the most precious thing? You can still see the little leftover milk on his mouth…

Perfect profile!

Christmas came a little early at the ‘H’ house!

Thank you H family for letting me come capture Mr. W’s newborn stage! He was an dream to work with… A blessing to many!

The waterfalls make their return…

Last year, the waterfalls were so popular! Seemed like I was going there every other weekend or so… Well, finally, this year I had a session there. So pretty! You forget how great of a spot it is until you go back! Yesterday I met up with the W family and all their families that extend off of the main one…

Everyone one is so fun and laid back! Let me tell you though–the waterfalls were hopping. I bet there were 4-5 other photographers out there with families. Looked like the outfit choice of the year was jeans and black too! I even ran into a friend of ours that is a photographer–Hi Cory! He needs a blog or a website or something–can’t link him to anything–but we all would like to see what you got too!

Okay, well on to my sneak. I’m sure this family is waiting! It’s a big one, so keep scrolling…

The parents…

A son and his family…

A daughter and her family (which happens to be my brother)!

Do you think we look alike? Everyone calls him a ‘boy-Jill’. LOL!

Another daughter…

One more daughter (and her son)…

The whole family!

The boys… Having some fun!

And the girls–doing their thing!

Thank you W family! I hope you enjoy your sneak–there are so many more! I’ll be in touch soon when the proofs are ready.

**Be sure to keep scrolling–several posts after another weekend full of shoots!

Jill, I LOVE all the pics!! You did a great job, as usual. Thanks for being so patient and taking all of our picture requests. I absolutely adore the one of Casey and Brice!! Thanks again!!

That's funny you say that about him looking like you… I actually thought one day when I saw a pic of Casey and Caleb that Caleb looks more like his boy that Brice. I think Brice looks more like Melanie. Isn't it funny how different people see things differently.

Great pics – and the location brought back memories. Burrr!

Cheyenne – Terrell Senior 2010

Another gorgeous senior… I have the best looking seniors–sure makes my job easier! Early this morning Cheyenne met me for a senior session… The girl is technically a junior, but will be graduating this year due to her grades and credit–talk about good job!

Lots of pics, so bear with me… We faced the wind, chill and lack of sun this morning, but all survived and came back with some good stuff. I was hoping for a nice sunrise for some sunflare shots, but can’t predict the weather–oh well!

There’s tons more where this came from, but these are a few that stuck out to me at first glance! I hope you like them and I’ll let you know when the proofs are ready for viewing.

My family…

So in conjunction to my post last night, I finally got to go through all of the great shots that Ashlee was able to capture in the midst of my 2 yo’s chaos. Here are some of my favorites!

We started with the girls… They really were so good!

Fire hydrant fun! Whatever makes the boy happy…

See how busy he is… Just wanted to go! Oh and I had a cute sweater and tie for him that he absolutely refused to wear. You should have seen the tears and fit on that one!

My kiddos!

All of us…

My Haidyn!

This about sums up this crazy life we live in…

By this point we were done with the kids–just wanting a few mommy & daddy shots… And who would’ve known that the kids would have joined in on their free will. Not planned or instructed at all!

My love!

I sure do love him! He makes this all possible…

Thank you again Ashlee. Hopefully shooting my family wasn’t complete trauma for you! (wink, wink)

The fire hydrant and the one of Caleb hanging upside down are hilarious!

Great shots though, especially considering the circumstances.

My girls: Sister by birth; best friends by choice!

Let me preface this post by saying that so many titles came to mind when trying to decide what to title it… The first one was: ‘I do have 3 kids, but my son was unruly’, then there was: ‘I do this for a living, but my own son had something else in mind’, and the list could go on and on, but I decided to just dedicate this post to my girls.

I’m so proud of them… They were such the perfect little models. Very patient during brother’s little spell… In case you don’t know, a fellow photographer and I swapped sessions today. Been planning for this for months actually and the time finally came. I have to say that Caleb has been a different character lately, so I should have seen it coming… He wanted absolutely nothing to do with our photo shoot. Didn’t like his tie, didn’t like his sweater, nothing. My girls did their thing though and that makes me a proud mommy!

Here are just some snaps I took while trying to not be too distracted by the way my son was acting.

My Maddie-Moo, going to be 8 in less than 2 months!

Miss Haidyn–so big!
Sisters!

I love how Haidyn is looking at Maddie here… She really looks up to her big sister!

Thank you C family for putting up with my crew. I’m still so embarrassed by the way my boy was acting… Who knows what got into him? I thought I had it all planned out perfectly (nap, lunch, etc.), but I guess he had other ideas!

Oh and I still haven’t gone through what Miss A took of my family… They’re still on hubby’s laptop. Can’t wait to see! Fingers crossed that my son cooperated in at least a few!

Sorry the little man was not cooperating. So, did you not get family pics then?

Hawks Senior 2010…

Yesterday, I got to meet up with a good friend of mine’s brother to do his Senior Portraits… It’s hard to believe that he’s graduating! Sure makes me feel old… He was a great sport through all the changes: props, backgrounds, shirts, etc.

Here is just a sampling of what we captured…

I obviously liked alot of the pics with the guitar! Thank you D family–I hope you enjoy your sneak. I’ll be in touch when your proofs are ready.

**Be sure to scroll down for another post today… ‘Seeing Double’! Lots of fun sessions this past weekend, therefore several new posts if you haven’t been by lately.

Seeing Double!

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of assisting another local photographer at a twin photo shoot. We had met a while back at a photographer get together and had kept in touch periodically. She’s actually taking my family’s portraits this coming Saturday-can’t wait! Long story short, I got wind of her upcoming shoot and she asked me to tag-along. Who wouldn’t want to rock babies, soothe and pose for fun? I know I would! Oh and get to bring my camera to snap a few myself–count me in!

So, this is the L family… One of the sweetest, most laid back first time parents I’ve ever met. I couldn’t wait to see what these little guys looked like and was giddy when I realized that one looked like daddy and one looked like mommy. How cool is that? They even have 2 boy dogs that follow suit, one with dark hair and one with light. Lovin’ it!

Okay, well, enough babbling, here are my favs from the session… And since this wasn’t a client of mine, more of a helping the other photographer, I didn’t take as many as I normally would… I mainly wanted to focus on the ‘twins’ aspect.

Thank you L family for letting me come into your home to help Ashlee. I hope I was able to make the session a little smoother for everyone! You can check out Ashlee’s work here… She is still in the portfolio stages of photography, but she is doing an awesome job. She serves the West Dallas and Fort Worth areas… You can also check out her sneak of the twins… it’s always neat to see different photographer’s views on the same posing.

These are good, Jill. I like the first and last one and the womb-looking pic. I've never seen that before.

Love my ‘L’ Family!

Mommy L is one of my closest and dearest friends, so getting to photograph their gorgeous family is always a pleasure! I mean, look at them… Who wouldn’t want to photograph them? We met bright and early this morning at their house for some family shots and individual boy shots.

Let me tell you, narrowing down my favorites is always so hard and this session was no different than all the rest… Just see for yourself!

Thank you L family for getting all ‘spiffy’ this morning for my visit!

It’s a C-O-W-B-O-Y thing!

Meet the V brothers… Mr. D and Mr. D. Ha! Aren’t they so cute? I actually met big brother when he was turning 1. His mommy’s friend and I have known each other for a while and she introduced her to me when I took his pictures as a one year old and now he’s 4! And he has a little brother who is 2. They drove up here just for their session(5 hours-not counting some traffic)–wow, thank you!

Here are some of my favs from our day yesterday…

Showing off their t-shirts grandma had made!
This is big brother…

And little brother!

Cowboy up!

Fun times as brothers…

Gig ‘Em!

Thank you V family for coming to see me… I hope your trip home was fast and you’re feeling much better, mommy. I’ll be in touch when the proofs are ready.
