JC-Original gets a Facelift…

So I’ve been talking about a little surprise and it’s here… JC-Originals Photography got a facelift. You’ll have to go check it out! I’m still tweaking stuff here and there, but it’s going well so far. I am excite to have large photos now and client proofing that is password protected. The client proofing also allows for shopping right there on the site with a shopping cart. I’m hoping that will make ordering a much smoother process for most.

Oh and it might be slow to load the first time, but I’m looking into seeing how to eliminate that… I think it has to do with the size of the images, but if I can optimize them more, then it’ll be faster.

Let me know what you think!

So many smiles…

All my baby planners are growing up right before my eyes! I love watching them grow and seeing how big they are at each appointment, but then again, it means they’re growing up… Wah! Today, I went to see Miss K… She is 6 months old now. I’m sure you’ll recognize her, especially once you see her little Lamby. He makes an appearance at all her sessions to show how much she’s grown. I think it’s going to be so neat to have a montage of these shots at the end of her first year.

So onto our session…

We had to show of those pretty blues by wearing a blue dress!

There’s Mr. Lamby!

Full of smiles!

The next two are for daddy… Little Spurs Fan!

In her tutu that grandma made…

Baby bed…

This one was cute… She caught her reflection in the plexi-glass!

A couple more of Lamby.

And check out the chub–oh, I love it!

Princess in Purple…

Thank you S Family! Miss K was sweet as ever… She was so much fun today!

A living doll…

I went to visit Miss A this past week and oh my goodness, has she grown and gotten even cuter! She was such a model newborn session and did just as well for her 3 month session… We put the little girlie through several outfit and bow changes! Just wait baby girl–one day you’ll be doing this on your own and mommy will tell you to stop changing clothes! I know because I did the same thing as a child and now I have a child that does it too. So funny!

Okay, well on to our sneak peek…

We had to get a pose like this… We got an awesome one at her newborn session with her eyes wide open, so it’s always neat to show similar poses as they grow.

The happy family… Well, minus the doggies–maybe one day!

Daddy’s girl!

Mommy & Me

She had to model some of her new dresses she had gotten…

Both polka dot!

Yes, that’s what little girls are made of…

Look at how strong she is!

I love this–smiling at mommy…

I love the eye contact!

Little growth item–her blankie with her name… You might remember it from her newborn session.

My FAV! I whipped up this tutu the day before our session after picking up this hat and flower in Canton a couple of weeks ago. Love her serious expression–too bad she did a nose dive right after this!

Thank you D family for having me photograph Miss Ava as she grows up–Can’t wait to see how big she’ll be at our next session! I’ll be in touch when your proofs are ready.

The picture in the purple is one of the most stunning photos I have ever seen. I think I'm going to have to get Emma a purple tutu and hat. Gorgeous!!!!!

Cake Time!

Just a quick post to share a couple of collages from the party the other day…

Gotta love a little cake every once in a while! I know I do…

Yummy! Now I’m craving cake. LOL! Well, I better get back to work… I can’t believe how fast it stacks up. If I get another break in the next day or so, I might be back with another sneak from the party. There was just so much fun going on, that I was snapping left and right!

The Sweet Shoppe!

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph two special little kiddos. Big brother was turning 2 and little sister was turning 1. And yes, for those of you wondering, they are Irish Twins… Born just 1 year and 13 days apart. Whew! I feel for you momma!

Okay, so on to the party… It was such a cute idea that I had to make a post that consisted of just the party stuff… I’ll hopefully be back with a post that includes pics of the birthday boy and birthday girl in a day or two, but to tide you over, here is a bit of the party or should I say… ‘The Sweet Shoppe‘!

Oh and just because I love seeing my work in people’s homes… I had to snag a shot of how this one turned out… Isn’t it gorgeous? It’s actually a double frame instead of a mat. What a fantastic idea!

Thank you M Family for having me to the little party… I hope I was able to take a little weight off your shoulders by photographing the party. I’ll let you know when the rest are ready!

Those have to be the cutest party favors ever! Love the party theme and beautiful photos that will truly capture the day for the family!

  2. Amy

That was a very cute party theme. I definitely want to do something like that, that is gender neutral and colorful, bright and happy. I liked my western theme from last year but I want to do something completely different of course. Great shots, Jill!

  3. Amy

Ok, after our conversation today, now I can tell what you were talking about in the double frame pic. That is a cool idea.

A more formal introduction… Meet my newest Senior 2010!

And as you already know from the last post… She is gorgeous and lived at (as her mom put it) ‘their little piece of heaven’. I enjoyed meeting you Miss C and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! It was definitely hard selecting some favorites… There were so many!

There are lots of pics, so I’m going to let the pics to the talking…

Hard to believe some of the shots- both the scenery and Callie look spectacular- Thank you for bringing out the beauty of my daughter and my home.

  2. Amy

Their place does look dreamy! I bet you were in heaven! Love the pics, the chaps, the rusty… bus?, the slogan above the iron gate (whose dad are they riding for?) and that tree line along the road – beautiful! Looks like she is a true cowgirl! Great shots Jill.

Had to post a sneak of a sneak… Senior 2010!

I just got back from a senior session a little bit ago and while I was copying these pics to the hard drive, I had to grab a few just to share right quick. Beautiful girl + gorgeous ranch = perfect session! I want to go back and I just got home… The impending rains kind of shortened our sunlight, but we got some great stuff.

So, here is just a sampling of what we got… Trust me there is much more… I’ll be back in the next day or two with more! Oh and I started to run my antique action on these, but I think the rusted bus just screamed for a color boost…

Can you believe this is on their property? How perfect is that?!

Thank you O family… You have a beautiful girl and a gorgeous piece of land. I’ll be back with more soon… P.S. Do you think I can come live with you for a little bit?? I would be living my dream… Lots of land to shoot on, horses to ride whenever, well… It would be my dream–I think I would miss my hubby & kiddos too much! Thanks again!

Caleb’s 1st day of MDO…

Today, my baby went to ‘school’… He started MDO and was so brave. Me on the other hand… I was a ball of nerves driving up to the church. He’s my baby, my only boy and the only child that has stayed home with me from the get-go. He was so excited though! Well, until he realized that mommy was leaving. He told me a few times, ‘Momma-no go.’ However, once we were in his class he was a brave little guy. Went right to his teacher, showed her his ‘BIG TIGER’ that he sleeps with and was ready for the day to start.

Here are some pics as we were getting ready to leave the house… That 45 minutes after dropping the girls off seemed like an eternity because he was so ready to leave and go to ‘Bubba’s School’. So cute!

“CHEESE!”

So big holding his lunch… Hopefully his sandwich didn’t get squished since he had a death grip on his lunch box.

See, mom… I have a Spiderman lunch box!

Oh, I hope he’s having fun… Being nice… Napping on a mat-ha! We’ll see how that one goes… Only 1.5 hrs left and I can pick him up…

I love babies… L-O-V-E babies!

I really do… They are my longest and usually dirtiest sessions, but I love them. I love getting to hold them, soothe them, mold them into adorable little poses and then seeing the outcome once I’m done. Every bit of it is worth the result.

Meet Mr. C. He is my latest baby planner–coming into the world just 6 short days ago at a whopping 9 lbs. 10 oz. He was such the well-mannered little guy.

A tiny little smile…

Look at this face and his creases… Don’t you love it?

I love how he is looking into his mommy’s eyes in this one.

Mommy lovin’!

Proud parents!

The rings.

His hair was almost a copper color!

In Daddy’s hands…

And what we go through to get the ‘perfect’ picture! Big sister having some fun…

Thank you J family! Your little guy is so adorable. Congrats!

Mr. Smiley is 3 months old…

Remember the smiling newborn? I did a whole post on just his smiles… Well, he turned 3 months old and you know what that means… I got to photograph him again! Woo-hoo. Let me tell you–he is just as cute! And a little roly-poly at that. I just wanted to squeeze his little legs (in a good way)!

He had a little spell where he was just so tired and konked out, but I still think that sleeping pics at 3 months can be just as cute as those newborn ones. After his little nap, he woke up and we got several more great shots.

Here are some of my favorites!

Gotta love the serious, eye contact, etc. in this one! He was so interested in my camera. Oh and don’t you love his hair?

Laughing for mommy…

I had to post this one… This was right when he was getting so sleepy. He had already fallen asleep while he was having a bottle and just couldn’t keep his eyes open. So you can tell here that he is doing all he can to concentrate on me.

And then he was out. Passed out cold…

Love me some lashes…

Bear hat still fits!

I love this one!

This is his Halloween costume. He’s a caterpillar!

We had to incorporate the puppy basket since that was one of the pics from his newborn session. He is so close to not fitting!

Look at these big eyes!

The fam!

Thank you L Family! Mr. Smiley was a trooper… I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready. P.S. I’m so glad that you liked your book–It’s gotten a lot of hype since I put it on my blog!

**Be sure to scroll down… Several new posts over the last few days. New holiday card templates, custom photobook and a princess newborn session. Whew! I’ve been busy and loving every minute of it.
