Drum roll please… Introducing… My 2009 Holiday Designs!

I am so excited to announce my new Holiday Cards for 2009. I have been admiring this designer’s templates for quite some time now and decided that they would be a perfect fit my clients.

Here is just a simple preview of the 3 galleries… I will be putting these in an online gallery and as your holiday session approaches, you will get to select the perfect design. **Images courtesy original designer.

This first set is called 34th street. The backs are just a gorgeous as the fronts. They can also be made into folded cards.

Next up we have Mistletoe. Just as gorgeous!

Last, but definitely not least… Merry & Bright. How fun are these?

So be sure to keep these designs in mind when selecting that perfect outfit for your session. Maybe they will help you decide what route you want to go.

**Please note, as all other material on this blog is copyrighted, so are these designs. It is illegal to copy, save, print, etc. any of this material for your own use.

Memories that last a lifetime…

Have you ever thought of how to contain all the memories that are captured during a session? Well, wonder no longer! A photobook is the perfect way to have many, if not all the images contained in one place from your session. Or if you’re a baby planner, a way to capture several images from each of your sessions into a baby’s 1st year book.

I recently got a photobook for a client and let me tell you… It is beautiful. It is a hardcover book with the photo cover and then the pages are hinged, therefore they lay flat when the book is open.

Here are some shots of the book. We went with a basic design for this book, that way the images really popped. However, there are many design capabilities!

Let me tell you, these images do not do the book justice too… It is absolutely gorgeous. The feel and then the page thickness really make it a piece of art. Be sure to consider one from your next session or as a collaboration of that first year of sessions. An instant baby book!

**Be sure to scroll down for another post from today. Princess C!

A Princess for the C Family…

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting Princess C. She was such a teeny little thing. And as I always try to prepare the parents, she did exactly the opposite of what they thought she would. You see, they said she sleeps all the time and is really only awake in the middle of the night or to eat. Well, yesterday she wanted to see the world and all that was in it! Which was really no problem because she was still a happy little girl. No fussing really–just bright eyed! So we fed her and fed her, shh’d her, patted her, got the room all warm and finally just rocked her and she was finally down for the count.

She let us do all kind of things with her as you’ll see from this sneak…

First off, she has this beautiful bedding that a family friend made. I thought this collage would be a neat little add to the decor to show it off. Oh and check off the booties–they are hand-made!
Look a that face and full lips!

So tiny in my basket.

Then another family friend knitted this blanket. It’s so delicate, like Princess C, I thought the picture called for a vintage look.

The new family…

Sisters: Friends for a lifetime!

In Daddy’s hands…

Yawn–modeling is hard work!

Mommy and princess…

Thank you C Family for letting me come play with your baby doll… She was just that–a doll! I’ll be in touch when the rest of your proofs are ready.

Haidyn goes to school!

This week we were faced with a great opportunity for Haidyn to go to Pre-K… It was a last minute decision that we literally made in less than 24 hours. I was feeling a little anxiety, but she is so excited. She said that she is ready for school and that she would miss me, but that she would be fine and would see me after school like big sister.

So because of the last minute decision, doctor appointment for well-child visit yesterday, her first day was today. She was so excited, I think it took her almost 2 hours to go to sleep last night!

Here are a few snaps of her first day!

Ready to go in with her backpack…
Her new classroom.

Sitting with her new classmates waiting to go to class for the first time!

I can’t wait to see how her day has gone… Almost time to pick her up!

Almost 3 months old…

Mr. L and I weren’t able to meet when he was born, but we finally got to meet this past week. And let me tell you–he was the perfect gentleman. He was finishing his bottle as I got there and ended up being a happy little guy. He let us change several backdrops and was just as happy until it was naptime. We let him go to sleep and then continued our session.

Here is a little sampling of our session…

Thank you P family. Your little guy was a joy to work with! I’m glad we were finally able to meet. I’ll be in touch when your proofs are ready!

The number 2… Caleb turns 2 and Maddie goes to 2nd grade!

What a weekend! This past Friday, my little man turned 2, so we started the weekend out celebrating his birthday with a small party at the house. Then Sunday we celebrated Cousin B’s birthday… On to today with it being Maddie’s first day of 2nd grade.

Just some snaps to document it all…

He looks like he’s saying, ‘for me??’…

‘Yep, I’m the birthday boy, it’s for me!’

Blowing out the candles.

1st day of 2nd grade

Maybe a little nervous?

Nope, just done with the picture taking! LOL!

Just thought I’d share a little bit of us… Coming up later this week we have an almost 3 month old and then another 3 month old this weekend. My baby planners are all growing up together!

It all has to come to an end…

I honestly don’t know where this summer went… It is hard to believe that on Monday we’ll be getting back into the groove of school. My big girl is going to be a 2nd grader. Wow! And then today–my baby, little man, monkey boy–is TWO! No more baby anymore. It’s amazing too because every day he acts more and more like a little boy; talking and saying just a little more than the day before.

Well, I thought I’d round out the ‘end of summer’ (even if we live in TX and summer doesn’t technically end for a while now) with some more pics from our vacation. These are for our friends–the W family. Our first vacation together and we all survived… 4 adults and 6 kids… However, do we manage? LOL!

Kind of bittersweet… Haidyn and Miss A have gotten pretty close these past couple of years and now Miss A is going to be a big Kindergartener! Haidy-hoo still has another year before she goes to school.

For some reason, I just love the real life stuff… Kids in their own world, but nonetheless happy because of the bond these two people committed to many years ago.

Gotta love kids! Even if their helping isn’t ‘helping’…

The end to a great year and the start to an even greater one!

The whole gang… And yes, that is my son (the photographer’s kid) that is not interested in having his pic taken.

One more–for my birthday boy… A pic with mommy!

Thanks W Family. We really had a great time and can’t wait until the next one!

Such a little man at 3 months old…

Baby J is 3 months old now (and a couple of weeks)… He was such the perfect gentleman too! I don’t know what it is, but lately, these 3 monthers are so interested in my camera. It’s so cute… They will be checking me out, giving me a slight smile when I talk to them, I pick up my camera and wham–eyes straight up to the camera and smile is gone. So funny! He finally warmed up to the big black thing I kept putting to my face and gave us lots of sweet smiles. Thank you to grandma too… She came to help and was a great help!

I’m back to sharing lots of favorites, so here you go…

Does he not have the most perfect lips? I’m pretty partial to full lips though…

Finally some smiles…

Look at how strong he is…

I brought a bigger basket this time… At his newborn session, he didn’t even fit into one of my baskets–He’s pretty close to not fitting in this one either. 😉

Pretty blues!

‘Hey guys!’

Gotta have some mommy & me stuff!

And of course, some with Daddy, too!

Family stuff…

This little piggy went to market… this little piggy went…

Go Cowboys!

Hook ’em Horns!

Growth item time…

Thank you S Family. Mr. J was such the sweet, little man… I enjoyed seeing how big he is growing and I’m already anticipating our next session!

Mr. B is going to be 2!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to photograph Mr. B for his upcoming birthday party. He’s my nephew for those of you that might recognize him from previous posts. Mr. B and Caleb are 3 days apart.

He was being quite shy at first, but we still got some cute stuff!

He was having a swingin’ time here!

Caleb was helping him slide.

Just hanging around!

Can’t believe our little guys are going to be 2 in a couple of weeks! Doesn’t seem real…

**Oh and if you haven’t seen my special… Be sure to scroll down to the next post–You don’t want to miss out on this one!
