A little rain never hurt…

This past weekend (yes, I’m behind on my sneak peek–it’s that time of year), I had the pleasure of seeing a family I had met at the beginning of the year, but I also got to meet the ‘rest’ of the family… The grandparents and the aunt and uncle of the kiddos. When I first met the grandmother, I just swore she had to be the sister! Such a beautiful family!!

We had plans to do our shoot outdoors in their gorgeous yard, but it wasn’t long and the rain was calling it quits and we headed indoors for some casual family stuff. So despite the situation, we were still able to capture several things for the family… Everyone, grandkids, siblings, smaller family pics, etc.

Here’s just a sampling of some of my favs.

The whole family…
Grandbabies!

The ‘original’ family…

The ‘new’ family–I’m sure you remember them from the newborn shoot we did earlier this year!

The siblings…

Just a snap–I was checking my settings, but when I saw this pic, I actually loved it… It’s so reality… On the left, we have siblings trying to get the dogs down, grandpa sneaking a look at the Cowboy game and the rest are ready to go. Love it! That’s true life for you.
Thank you W Family for having me over to your beautiful home. I hope you enjoy your sneak and I’ll be in touch soon with the proofs.

Short & Sweet…

Yep… That’s what this session was… Short & Sweet. Miss K turned 6 months old, so I got to pay her a visit today… She’s still working out her little schedule and today she was ready for her nap when I got there–but not before we got a few shots of her newest accomplishment… Sitting!

Little Ladybug!

Smiling at the baby in the reflection!

Standing tall…

Pbbbttt… That’s what she thought of our session! LOL! She was ready for her nap.

Thank you Miss K for sticking it out long enough for us to capture your cute little self sitting pretty. I hope you got a good nap!

**Be sure to scroll down for another post from tonight… Two sneak peeks today!

So blonde…

Meet the F family… All blondies! The F family goes to our church and actually our girls are the same ages… Maddie has grown up with their older daughter and then Haidyn has grown up with their younger daughter. Funny how that works out! They were the wonderful owners of the little blue car that I used back in the spring. Well, Mrs. F had the great idea of a swap… I get the car and they get a session! Wonderful–because that is something I can do! And I get to keep the car for future shoots.

Today we met up and braved this sudden cold spell we’re having. Everyone was such a trooper–cold temps, short sleeves and no shoes! Ha! So fun…

Here is a sampling of our session… Some of my favs… I couldn’t keep from smiling while picking these out.

Thank you F family for braving the cold temps and wet grass! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’m so glad that I was able to capture these moments for you… I’ll be in touch soon!

Another Princess turns 3 months old!

Remember my little 4th of July firecracker baby?

Well, she turned 3 months old and I got to spend the morning with her, her mommy, her granny and her great-granny. Her daddy was there too, but he stayed behind the scenes most the time working…

Let me tell you… She is filling out and oh so cute! See for yourself!

Thank you C Family! I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready…

Princess C is on the M-O-V-E!!

Recently I went to visit Miss C… She is the only girl (besides mommy) in their house of boys… 3 brothers and daddy! You might remember her newborn session back in January… Well, all her brothers have their pics taken at 8 months and it was Miss C’s turn.

She was definitely on the go… I think mommy and I put her back on the ‘spot’ many times! We were getting our exercise, that’s for sure… Afterwards, we headed to a spot you might remember from a recent post to get a few grand-daddy and grandkids pics and then some sibling shots.

Here she is… On the MOVE! Oh and I have to admit–this shot is a tad OOF (out of focus), but it was too cute of a moment to not share…

Princess C and her ‘Barkers’.

The new most requested ‘prop’! I guess I need to make some more–then there will be more colors!

Standing tall…

Sitting pretty!

In the basket again… Last time she was all curled up asleep–this time she was sitting (and standing!).

Isn’t this sweet… Such an innocent face, but I hear she can hang with the best of them (her brothers)!

Itsy, bitsy spider, crawled off the ‘spot’…

With grand-daddy… Their shirts say, ‘My Papa drives a Goldwing’. The only way to ride, I hear…

The kiddos!

Thank you L Family! I’ll be in touch soon…

Mr. Eyes is 9 months old!

First, I have to apologize for the late posting of this sneak peek… I normally do sneaks the day of the session or within 2 days, but as I posted previously, our house was under the weather. I can finally say that we are all on the mend! Woo-hoo!

So, onto my session. Mr. C is 9 months old now! I cannot believe it. He is one of my first baby planners and it is almost bitter sweet to know that he will be one soon! I feel like I develop a little relationship with each of my babies and their families and I can’t imagine that first year coming to an end… Okay, well I’ll quit being sappy… 🙂

A little sampling of our session… We started out with some family stuff and then did his 9 month session…

Check out his little boots!

Little boo-tay in his daddy’s boots!

Puttin’ on the hat…

Little Monkey!

Check him out walking…

Isn’t he just the most handsome little guy? He’s not even mine and he sure pulls a close 2nd… {wink, wink}! Thank you G family… I’ll let you know when the rest are ready.

Been a while…

Well, it seems like it’s been a while… This week our family was ‘knocked’ down with the stomach bug! Ugh–no fun! First hubby got it, then Maddie came home with it and that evening I ended up with it. I’m hoping that’s where it ends… That Caleb and Haidyn stay well.

We’re finally all on the mend. I hope to be back soon with a sneak peek from this past weekend’s shoot. One of my favorite little guys is almost 1! We did his 9 mos. shoot and the boy was walking. Yes! WALKING!

So, here’s to continued health to our family and I’ll be back soon! I promise!

Just happy to be here…

Yesterday, I got to meet the sweetest little girl (aren’t they all?)… She had the most precious lips and turned up nose–watch out Daddy, be ready for this little one to have you wrapped so tight around her pinky!

I thought this one was cute… Almost like she is saying, “Just happy to here!”

Thank you G family for having me out… She is a sweetie! Enjoy every moment, they grow up so fast… I’ll let you know when your proofs are ready.

Almost B-O-O-K-E-D!!

Wow! I have such awesome clients… Here it is, first day of fall and I have 4 weekend session openings left for clients needing holiday cards: 10/3, 10/4, 10/10 and 10/25. All afternoon sessions–no morning sessions left. I do have some weekday availability, but those sessions are limited due to my ‘other’ life as a mom. I love the repeat clients that come back to me year after year and then the new ones I get to meet each year!

So, if you’re thinking of a holiday session to get some captures for a one of a kind card, don’t wait much longer… The openings might be gone before you know it!

Can’t wait to hear from you!

3-for-1 Special!

Not really! But when I get to photograph my sweet nieces and nephew, it can seem like a 3 for 1 special… It’s hard to believe that 2 short years ago their mommy was in the hospital keeping them cooking for as long as possible and here they are now… Almost 2! We had a fun afternoon shoot this past weekend, heat and all! Many props to my hubby who came along to help–he’s pretty goofy, so we put him on ‘smile-duty’! Looks like it worked…

Big share, but how could I not share a lot when they’re this cute and they’re related to me… LOL! Plus with three… Well, you get the idea! Here ya go!

I hope you enjoy them. I couldn’t keep from smiling while editing these… Brought back memories of all we went through to get these smiles and expressions. I’m thinking we succeeded though! Thanks again!

Those are cute! I think I was laughing a lot in the pics because of your silly hubby! And my darn hair going curly… I can't wait to see the rest on the website.

  2. Amy

And Tyler (and Hannah too) was sure hamming it up in these pics… that crazy smile!

Beautiful shots for some beautiful babies if I do say so myself. 🙂 I can't believe my babies are almost two! Sniff sniff

  3. Jill Cornelius

I know! Just wait until you see the rest… Especially the bubble ones! He was all over the place and then just the biggest grin. So funny!
