Mr. Eyes… Oops! I mean Mr. C is 6 months…

Mr. C invited me to come see his new tricks this past weekend… He turned 6 months old and is sitting like a pro! I swear he has the most gorgeous eyes I have seen on a baby… Watch out mom and dad–the girls will be knocking on your door!

Mom had seen the little blue car I’ve been using and asked me to bring it along for his session… You see, daddy is into cards and Mr. C’s room is actually done in an antique car theme. So what better prop, then the little blue car!

So first we started out with the car…

Check him out driving the car… His expression is priceless!

These are some of his cars from his room…

Check out those lashes!

His blanket that we’ve been photographing him with since he was 6 days old.

His mom was playing a little game here with his burp cloth… I love that I caught his little expression!

He loved my white blankie… Come to think of it, he’s loved it every time I’ve photographed him.

Sitting tall!

Little man in the tie!

Standing with daddy! He looks like he’s one-legged, but I promise he wasn’t… He was jumping all around. He loved standing!

Thank you again for letting me capture Mr. C’s first year. He is a joy to photograph and so handsome!

I’ll be in touch to when the rest are ready!

Newborn Overload…

Oh my goodness… I knew this was going to be a big sneak while I was photographing this precious newborn. She was 16 days old for our session and probably by far my favorite session to date… I probably say that after all my newborns! I think after each one I just love doing them more and more. I joke with my hubby that I think I could do them non-stop (almost exclusively).

Okay, well, I’ll stop my jabbering and let you see this beauty!

We started with a little mommy and me stuff…

Then went on to do some daddy’s little girl…

Then baby girl got to be the star… An awake shot.

But it wasn’t long and she was out for the count.

Then we finished up with a couple shots of the new family.
I love this one…

Thank you D family for having me come photograph your precious baby girl. I enjoyed every minute of it and have enjoyed picking my favorites. There are many more! I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready.

**Oh and be sure to scroll down for two other posts from tonight… I’m trying to catch up from this weekend and then computer woes.

6 months is oh so fun!

I think 6 month olds come pretty close to being some of my favorites to photograph. They’re smiley, they sit up, and they’re not mobile! LOL! My 2nd session of the weekend was of Mr. R. And let me tell you, that R is a cute name! Not something you hear very often if at all…

Little guy was pretty smiley, but his parents also told me he was a tad puny… Well, I think he did pretty darn well considering the circumstances.

Here’s a sampling of what we got..

Standing oh so tall with the help of mommy!
I hear this is is standard pose! I wish I had known that and I would have brought my saddle and rope for a little western effect!

Playing with his little train. This was right before it went in his mouth!

Ahh, sweet, soft doggy!

Don’t you just love little overalls on baby boys?! I do!

Little man with daddy!

A profile shot.

Doesn’t he have the cutest little face? Look at that expression!

A dimple too!

Mom wanted to try something outside in front of these bushes. Isn’t the color great?

Love me some camo! I think he may have seen/heard a plane…

Tummy time on the cowhide!

Thank you R family! Your little guy was great and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I’ll be in touch when the proofs are ready!

Miss K is 3 mos. and oh so cute!

As you can see, I’m back in business… I guess the Mac is a little touchy lately… Once I removed a little add-on we were using, it is back to normal activities.

So, this past weekend, to start out my weekend of shoots, I drove to see Miss K now that she is 3 mos. old. She was so cute and smiley! It was quite cute too that she konked out in the middle of our session. Who knew I’d be able to get some of those sleepy shots we usually see with newborns. Then she woke up, had a snack and we were able to get a few more.

First, we started outside just to get a quick family shot in her dress that her grandmother made… The detail is just gorgeous!

A quick shot in her room… You might be able to see the detail on the neckline a little better here…

Her ‘K’ bow!

We had fun just switching out bows and shooting different shots!

I love profile shots! You can see her perfect little button nose!

Here is where she zonked out… I wanted to try some new props (a wrap and crochet hat) and she thought it was nap time! How precious is she?

Quick bow change and blanket change…

I love how she’s holding her little hands here…

Had to try the ‘newborn’ pose again with the little hat.

Diva in yellow!

Some family time…

Daddy and baby since he was working when we did her newborn session!

Sweet mommy and me pose!

Last, but definitely not least–shot with Lamby (her lovie)!

Thanks for looking! And thank you for being patient while I worked out the kinks in my computer issues. Be sure to stay tuned… I have 3 more sessions from this weekend to share sneaks from once I get them edited!

So I thought…

I thought my next post would be a sneak peek from the busy, weekend of shoots I had recently, but lately I am having one of those days, weeks, etc. with the technical side of my life. Yesterday, I went to upload a proof gallery for a client to only find that my PC couldn’t find my web to publish it to… However, my site was good and not down… We think it had to do with the new router we got. With the help of a good friend we found another way to publish my gallery, but the old way is still not working. While waiting for all that to happen, I was editing the next sneak peek to share and get 2/3 of the way through it and the Mac freezes. I had to shut down and lose all my edits. Well, after getting the proof gallery online, I was optimistic about today’s editing… Hoping it was just a fluke deal that the Mac essentially crashed and was eager to share my weekend with you all. Only to get 2/3 of the way through them again and de ja vu–happens again.

Hopefully my clients will bear with me while I research this further and hopefully get back to running full force. This means that all editing is on hold until I figure this out because I’m just losing precious work every time.

Thanks for understanding and I hope my next post will be the first of several sneaks I want to share! I had a great time this weekend with a couple of baby planners that have reached their 3 mos. milestone and 6 mos. milestone, a newborn and a 6 month old I hadn’t met before. Lots of fun stuff!

Until next time…

Out of Order… **UPDATED**

Yep, you read it right… I am ‘Out of Order’, well, not really, but my phone is… Not sure what happened, but my cell is out of commission. So if you need to contact me about a prior session, upcoming session, etc., please email me for the time being–listed on the sidebar to the left. My cell is my only phone and without the dear hubby home to use his phone to call the cell provider I’m kind of stuck until he gets home to check it out.

I’ll update this post (hopefully within the next 24 hours) when my phone is back in working order.

Have a great rest of the week!

**UPDATED** Okay, I am back in business. Just needed a new little SIM card and I’m good to go. However, if you called me and/or texted me, I have no record of it… So please contact me again so I can be sure to get to anything I missed. Thanks!

Just call me a newborn photographer…

Because if you can’t tell by now, I love ’em! And lately I’ve been blessed to have many come my way… So keep spreading the word.

Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of photographing a new baby girl, her big brother and her family. She was actually one of the oldest ‘newborns’ I’ve done at 3 weeks old, but she was a pro! I had prepped mom that we might not get stuff like the youngers ones, but little Miss proved me wrong! Like all my other newborn sessions, once we got her belly full and the room nice and warm, she was out for the rest of our session.

While she was getting her belly full, we took advantage of the time and let big brother play with the blue car. He was a little timid at first, but then he got really excited at the thought of surprises for smiles!

We also took some time to get some of the two together, but I just realized I didn’t edit any of those yet… I’ll be back later to share at least one!

Finally, we got to baby sister. She was the star of the show, you know… The main reason for my visit!

Look at all that hair!

Don’t you love this little crochet hat? It worked perfect with my flower! Mom shared with me where she got it and yesterday I was able to pick one up for future sessions. However, now I’m wishing I would have gotten more… More variety… LOL!

I’m loving these fur and animal print blankets I’ve seen some moms have. Makes me want to pick up one for myself just to have on hand for sessions!

Last, but definitely not least, was family time… A couple indoors…

Then a fun one outdoors!

Oh and I can’t forget the little feet picture! Don’t you just love baby toes??

Thank you C Family! And thank you to the grandparents too… We had two grandma’s and one granddad helping us out… Helpers for everyone made the session go smoothly! That way everyone was happy.

I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready!

Found another smile…

And some more of my favorites from today’s session…

Future business man!

This one has a neat story behind it… One of the grandfathers has always given the grandkids a duck, so this is his duck…

Then this is a special hat that I believe a grandmother made…

Here is the other smile I caught! I told you he was a happy baby.

Got to use the doggy basket again.

Another special item… I believe the same grandmother that made the hat made this blanket. Mom and dad can correct me though if I’m wrong.

His room is a jungle theme and green is one of the colors, so I thought this one might look great in there!

Can’t pass up a precious close-up!

Proud Daddy!

Mommy and baby!

New family!

Thanks again L family for having me over. Your little man was a pleasure to work with (as were the two of you). I’ll be in touch when the proofs are ready!

**Be sure to scroll down to his smiley post if you didn’t see it yet!

Wow! I don’t have words. Thank you so much for being so patient with my little man and taking great poses. I love them all.

  2. Ashlee

Jill, you did an amazing job! I’m so glad it all worked out! I can’t believe how many smiles you caught, that’s crazy. He’s too adorable. I’m in love with that basket you used in your black and white too.

Oh Happy Day!

Or should I title this one… ‘Happiest Baby on the Block’?? Either way, this little guy was so smiley! He made working on Memorial Day worth it… So sweet and precious! He let me move him and pose him and never really put up much of a fuss… Took a little break to eat and then we went right back to finish up the last set of poses. Smiling the entire time.

I’m only posting the smiley ones for now… I just had to share them–these are literally how happy he was the entire time. I’m posting them in the order I took them and the last picture of him with mom was literally one of the last shots I took, so he continued to smile the entire time.

This was the first smile I caught… with a little vintage action on it.

My absolute favorite one! Doesn’t he have the best smile? He has dimples too!

More smiles!

So happy to be in mommy’s arms…

Check back later for a bigger sneak! I wanted to go ahead and do a smiley post first, but I’ll be back with a bigger sneak–maybe even tonight!

Happy 1st Birthday to Mr. C!

Can you believe it’s been a year? I sure can’t! Mr. C came to play today or should I say… celebrate his birthday with lots of outfits, growth items and cake. He was a happy little guy, a little more mobile than in the past, but we were fast and got what we needed to document him turning 1!

We started out with this…

Captured this at 3 months…

And this at 6 months…

On to this at 9 months…

And now a year later we have this…

Walking!

Still great smiles!
Big boy toys!
Growth Item!

Fancy Wheels!
And CAKE!

Thank you for letting me capture this past year for you! It’s been fun to see Mr. C grow and I can’t wait to see him continue to grow into the little man he will be…

**It’s kind of neat too seeing how my work has progressed over the last year. 😉
