B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L!

So here it is… Got clearance to share cuz the groom doesn’t see the blog… Wah! Just kidding–in this situation, I am just fine with not having him as a reader. LOL! I don’t think I could wait until after the wedding to share…

As usual, this is a huge share… I wanted to be able to show all the stuff we did… Some may be redundant, but there’s at least something different in every picture. We did traditional, fun and even some sexy! I can say that, can’t I?

This is a new vintage action I’m trying out. WDYT?

This guy was silly–he came running up out of nowhere and I just thought maybe he knew her, but nope… He just wanted in the picture!

A little sassy fun with the sunglasses!

The wind caught her veil here and I just happened to be ready to shoot–had to catch it in action!

You know how much I love my chair… So this next set is some of my favorites!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one!

And how pretty does she look here?!

Thank you Miss G, soon to be Mrs. K! I can’t wait for your big day…

    AWESOME SHOTS!!

Absolutely beautiful…

OMG! This evening I shot my first bridal. What fun!

I CANNOT wait to share it with you all, but first I have to edit a few (or several–okay a bunch) for the sneak peek and then I need to get the go ahead from the bride that the groom-to-be doesn’t visit my blog and then I’ll put them up…

Check back soon!

More of Miss S…

I’m back with a bigger sneak peek of Miss S. Isn’t she precious? She really was a good little girl once we got her nice and full and warm! We were so hot, but she was nice and cozy…

Here she is with her little lovie!

Mom made this bow for her…

I caught her mid-smile here… She was in and out of sleep here, but I’m still glad I caught that smile!

One of my favorite poses to do!
And you know I love close-ups. Love her profile, fingers and toes in this one. This is a soft & faded action that I use from time to time…

In mommy’s hands.

Look at her Diva slippers!

I can imagine this reminds her of being in her mommy’s tummy–all curled up!

In Daddy’s hands.

Then one last fun shot that mom wanted to try! I love incorporating the house into the shot… Doesn’t she look so tiny here?

Thank you again! I’ll be in touch soon when the proofs are ready.

Lots of firsts…

This weekend was full of firsts… My first wedding (on my own), a couple’s first baby and a little boy’s first birthday. All great experiences and an honor for me to get to capture!

So I’m going to sum it up in one post for now… I have an ever so patient client that is awaiting her proofs that I need to finish, but I promise to come back later and post bigger sneak peeks of each event!

First, was the wedding… Nothing but gorgeousness all around… the couple, the wedding party, the family, the entire thing! Oh and let me tell you–I got choked up! Father of the bride was also the minister… Whew! So emotional and beautiful…

Next, we had a beautiful new baby girl… You’ll probably recognize her gorgeous mommy and handsome daddy from their maternity session I did recently. Miss Thang thought she was going to prove mommy wrong, but I was holding out for her and she came through for us and after a couple of hours of feeding, rocking, shhhing and soothing, she was out for the count and we got some great stuff!

Last, I rounded up my weekend with Mr. A. You might remember him from a Christmas shoot we did with his family–he has the twin sisters that are just as gorgeous as he is… Little man was so cute! He gave us a few, tiny smiles, but for the most part he was all business!

Thank you everyone for letting me be a part of your life! I treasure each and every single one of these moments that I get to be a part of… I am definitely blessed! Until next time…

So smooshable!

Is that even a word? Well, in my vocabulary it is, cuz this guy was utterly, completely smooshable, squishy cuteness! The funny thing is that they were expecting a much smaller guy and ended up a few more pounds of smooshiness to love on–I’m sure they’re fine with that, cuz he’s a sweetie!

I’m sure you’ve figured it out by now, but my sneaks are quite abundant, so enjoy!

Thank you guys for having me capture the precious baby boy you added to your family. He was a champ (and oh so smooshy)! I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready!

**I do have to say thank you again to all the parents that allow me to come into their homes that first week of life to capture the newness of a newborn. It is such a blessing to be able to do that for all of you and I love every minute of it!

A ‘Miracle’ is ONE!

Remember this little guy?? Well, he is now one! Such an awesome thing to get to document his first birthday… He is growing by leaps and bounds and getting around like the rest of the kiddos.

We had lots of fun as you’ll see from the sneak peek doing several things. We were quickly approaching naptime, but he held out for us and let us do everything we wanted to. Thanks little guy!

Family Time was first!

Then big guy had some some mommy-time…

We had to do the basket again, but this time he is sitting in it!

6 months is the best age for the nakey sitting shots and since Mr. D’s adjusted age is about that range it worked perfect for him!

Check out his pinata for his party (which was later in the day)!

Classic pose in his little polo…

Little documentation to show his growth and where he started to where he is now at ONE!

Then it was cake time!!

Thank you R Family for letting me document this amazing milestone in little ‘D’s life. I hope he had a great birthday party!

Bless his little heart!! You can see the mom looks SOO much better, like she’s able to breathe again. Breathtaking photos, Jill…as usual :).

  3. Sylvia Livaudais

I can’t pick a favorite from the sneak peeks-I LOVE THEM ALL! Great job! He has great expressions in all!

Such a fun couple (and their dog) to end my weekend of sessions!

I went back to the park yesterday afternoon to shoot this couple… They’re actually from another area, but liked the shoots they had seen on my blog that I have done at this park. It’s a great location with lots of little pockets for fun stuff!

And let me mention again, this couple was so much fun! We had a great time just trying all kinds of things. Sorry guys, but if I were you, I’d be having a hard time choosing my favorites! I’m sure that’s obvious by how big this sneak peek is too…

Enjoy!

Thank you S Family! It was a blast and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek as much as I enjoyed taking them!

**Be sure to check out the other posts below… I’ve been on a post high today after having no internet most yesterday.

A long awaited shoot for a family of 5!

As I was sharing in my previous post (be sure to scroll down if you hadn’t read it yet), this family had booked their shoot about 5 months ago, but we finally got it done! And it was worth it… We got some great stuff before the rain came… All while braving the sprinkles that kept coming and going.

And if you haven’t figured it out yet… This is going to be a big sneak! I had several favorite family shots and then couldn’t pick just one of each of the kids, so I shared a few of each!

The family!

Momma and her babies…

A Father’s Love!

Big sis and dad…

More family… Middle brother had a blast on dad’s shoulders!

Middle brother… He actually liked my basket–we used it to keep him contained–he was a busy body! Would you believe he was born early?? He’s a hair younger than my baby boy and he blew him away weight-wise!

Big sister! She was so helpful with the little kids. She even had some of her own suggestions of poses. So great!

Baby sister! See what she thought of my basket? LOL!

Thank you M Family! I’m glad we risked the storms and went ahead with the shoot. Everyone was great… can’t wait to show you the rest!

  2. ThreeRingCircus

Jill, I just can’t thank you enough! Can you believe those are the ONLY professional family photos!??! EVER!! Yah… other than our wedding pics, these are IT! Thank you for making it so easy and making us question why on earth we waited so long!! 🙂 I guess we were waiting for our family to be complete :).

Wow! What a weekend!

This weekend has been a whirlwind! But I loved every minute of it. It started fairly early Friday, when I did my usual morning of gym stuff (cycle on Fridays), but then I headed home to get ready to photograph my first wedding that afternoon–as a 2nd shooter. There were actually 4 of us shooting the wedding and it was great. I learned so much and plan to put it to use in the future. I’ve actually picked up a few weddings this year (my first being in a couple of weeks) to test the waters and see if that is a route I want to go. Don’t worry–I’ll still do portrait photography! Love that and won’t ever quit it… The wedding was a 12 hour event for me since the wedding was in a good 1.5 hr drive from me, so my drive started at 1 pm and by the end of the evening and the drive home it was almost 1 am. Beautiful bride and handsome groom. Gorgeous venue. All great! I can’t post any sneaks of that yet until the main photographer delivers to the bride, but I’ll be sure to come back with a peek once I can!

Saturday. Had a great family of 5 meet me at the park. Sweet, sweet, family. We actually had our session booked since December! We decided to wait until baby sister was 6 months to do the session in March. Had a little set-back and postponed it a bit to May. Well, we thought the rain was going to make us push it back more, but we got it done. Even through some misting and sprinkles. Sneak peek for that one coming soon, so be sure to check back! I had a shoot that afternoon with a couple and their dog, but the rain was approaching fast, so we were able to push it up a couple of hours and let me tell you, it was just in time! Great couple! We chatted, laughed, etc. We even got to use my ‘ugly’ chair and I think it turned out great with their outfits and the settings. I’ll be back later with a sneak of that one too!

So you know how I said the rain was approaching fast, well… I literally made it home from my shoot, got settled in at the computer to transfer pics to the computer when my dad called to let me know tornado had been spotted in a nearby town and should hit our area within 10 minutes. I made it from the bedroom to the kitchen when I saw Kev practically run from the back door, swoop Haidyn up off the couch (she was napping) and tell me and Maddie to get in the laundry room. Later I found out that he saw the wind (probably tornado) lift the trampoline off the ground (which was anchored in the dirt) and felt the glass in the door start to move. It was over in a matter of minutes (if that long). Our trampoline ended in the neighbor’s lot across the street (at least a football field or so away). It did hit our roof in the process, puncturing it with a hole and then damaged the guttering on two sides of the house… Actually hit Kev’s car too, but no damage to it. Thank God! So for now, we temporarily patched the roof until the insurance adjuster can come out, but we’re grateful that it didn’t do more damage. The hole appears to be over the eave of the roof, which has holes (vents) so the water hopefully is coming out as fast as it came in and not getting in the walls of the house.

So all in all, an eventful weekend, but a great one. I did have to cancel two sessions today, but we’ve already got one rescheduled and the other will be too. One is a bridal that I can’t wait to do! I’ve got several ideas for that shoot and it’ll be more fun and out of the box stuff than traditional! Then the other is a family at the arboretum. Love that place! Can’t wait to see what’s in bloom after all this rain.

Well, no pics for now, but be sure to check back with sneaks of this weekend. Have a great Sunday (and rest of the week)!

Wow! That’s crazy with the trampoline! We were having people over and watching the weather to try to plan our BBQ around the storms and I saw tornado warnings out your way. Glad all is okay.

A one year old, his siblings & their family…

What a fun family! The girls were such great helpers and then Mr. C had this great smile… A great way to end a weekend of sessions.

This is a big peek (you know me–can’t narrow them down), so I’ll get started on sharing… I did a couple of collages to help me share more at one time!

First we started at the park…

Then we headed back to the house for a little studio stuff…

Last we did a little cake smash to celebrate him turning one!

Thank you P Family! I hope you enjoy your sneak… I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready!
