Love me a newborn…

I had the awesome opportunity to photograph another miracle of life today. And he was precious–just like his parents! Thank you for letting me capture this special time in your lives of welcoming your first born into your family.

Meet Mr. L!

Look at this squishiness… Love those cheeks!

Precious…

I think this is my all time new favorite picture… Love close-ups and his is just perfect!

Sleeping so peacefully…

All I can think is that 3 princesses equals 3 weddings for this family!

They are beautiful princesses too! I met this family out at the park yesterday and braved the winds for some family pics. I think mom (and dad) were a little worried with keeping 3 kiddos entertained for pics, but we did it. And we got some pretty cute stuff!

Here is a sneak of our session…

The girls being silly… Middle sister was doing all she could to not look at the camera…
The girls!
Baby Sister… Sitting up there like a big girl!

Middle Sister… Look at her gorgeous hair!

Big Sister… More gorgeous hair!

The Family!

How it all began… I love their expressions here…

Little PJ style mixed with a pose.

One more of the family!

Thank you N Family! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. The girls did a great job and we got some sweet stuff… There’s more too! I’ll be in touch when the rest are ready.

Gonna be in print and on the world wide web…

Let me preface this by saying that I love referrals… A good portion of my business (if not most) is through referrals. Recently, I was approached by a co-worker of a past client to come to their pediatric dental office and update the headshots for some new employees and also photograph their office for their website. You can check out their site now at Joel Shields, DDS, but be sure to check back soon for updated interior and exterior pics of the office.

Here is just a quick peek of the exterior of the building… I’ll try to add more or do a new post once I’ve completed the interior images. Such a neat office! So colorful and fun–just what kids need in unfamiliar territories.

They are located in Sunnyvale, right off the highway, so even for my eastern county clients, this is an easy place to get to! Be sure to check back soon for more images. Oh and I mentioned in print also… They’re going to be using one of these for a local ad they’ll be placing.

Thanks again to the dental office! I’ll be in touch when everything is ready for you!

How lucky am I to have the opportunity to photograph all these beautiful expecting mommies?? It was a joy to meet the D Family… And mom was a great sport while I had her up and down numerous times for different poses.

Enjoy your sneak peek! Can’t wait to meet Miss Sadie… Love her name too!

Thank you again for this opportunity! It was a pleasure meeting the both of you and can’t wait to meet your new little one.

Rain, rain, go away…

Well, not really, it’s doing wonders for our yard since we just put seed down for the grass to grow… However, it’s really messing with my shoots for tomorrow! I’ve actually had several weekends lately where we’ve had to reschedule due to weather (and other obstacles) so I was excited to get back out there this weekend.

There’s always another weekend for shoots, huh? Check back soon for an upcoming special and then hopefully sneak peeks from my next several shoots!

And because I love sharing more, here are a few more of Miss K! She was just so precious…

So, remember… Check back for an upcoming special!

Sweet Baby Girl…

Meet Miss K… Miss K is my newest Baby Planner and I can’t wait to see her grow over the next year. As I was driving off from our session I was already ‘planning in my head’ what we would do for our 3 mos. session. I even got to meet her 2 proud grandmothers. You could tell that it was a very proud family–and I hear Miss K will be getting more cousins later this year! So yea! Playmates are always fun…

I think Miss K came close to being my longest session, but it’s all worth it. She was a doll and just at one point decided she wanted to be awake for a little while. I always try to tell parents that the day of our session will probably be unlike any other day… they will sleep if they don’t, be awake if they normally sleep, eat every 30 minutes, potty on everything, take a paci when they normally don’t, etc. They are their own little creature and like to keep us on our toes, but when you see what we get… the session is a distant memory (much like the labor-lol)! Here are several from our time together…

Little pink leapfrog…

Can’t you see the innocence of a newborn here? This is what I strive to capture!

All dolled up! I picked this flower bow up this week for our session and then mom had this great blanket… Worked out perfect!

Close-ups are some of my favorites.

My new basket… I actually got it for an ‘Easter-themed’ shot, which you’ll see coming up…

Sweet smiles–She actually smiled for us at least 4-5 different times!

Easter baby… I wanted to do a little something to document her being born right before Easter.

I love my baby bed… This was one of the last shots we took, but it was worth it… Doesn’t she look so peaceful?

LOVE this shot of mom and baby! Gorgeous mom and gorgeous baby… Love the bow too!

Doesn’t this look like a proud daddy? He was a great sport too! Even after Miss K got him…

Thank you K family! I enjoyed meeting you and your sweet family! And as I mentioned earlier… Can’t wait to capture Miss K this first year! I’ll be in touch when your proofs are ready.

I can’t stop myself…

I really can’t… I just love newborn sessions! And then I just love to share them with you all… Remember this baby bump? Well, meet Mr. J–the baby bump himself!

I’m warning you… Lots of peeks… I don’t even know if this can be classified as a ‘sneak peek’. Oh well!

Sorry, UT fans… Looks like he’s not one of you!

Isn’t this the sweetest basket?

In daddy’s arms.

“Modeling is such tiring work!”

In mommy’s arms.

Daddy’s boy!

I love how he’s wrapped up here… Almost like a baby pretzel.

“Okay, that’s enough for today! Need to get some beauty rest in.”

Thank you again ‘B’ Family for letting me capture these moments for you. I can’t wait to share the rest of the proofs with you so that you can cherish them for a lifetime. He was a dream–perfect baby! And congrats again–I’m so happy for you two!

Oh my gosh, these pics are so cute too!! I think that I LOVE all your newborn pics. Newborns are just absolutely precious. At least I was finally able to choose a few pics of our little guy. 🙂

  3. Jill Cornelius

Thank you! After my last few sessions of newborns, I’ve had the thought, “Hmmm… I think I could make a career out of just shooting newborns!” LOL! I just love every minute of it–even though they are my longest and sometimes hardest sessions. The end result is just so worth it!

Remember this little guy?

My new nephew?

Well, he needs your prayers… He’s just been admitted for a transfusion. Something very similar to what we went through with Maddie when she was a newborn. They haven’t diagnosed him yet, but hopefully they figure it out real soon. Maddie’s diagnosis actually was a weight off our shoulders and it’s genetic, so it’s a high possibility that is what he has. Either way, prayers are greatly appreciated by all!

Thanks!

    Definitely! Prayers!

Also, when I talked to them the other day, they said thalassemia was tested already and he didn’t have it. I hope they figure out what it is though ASAP!

Spring Break has come and gone!

And I’m sad to say that I only took pictures on one day of our outings! Monday, we ventured to the zoo with the triplets, but I never took my camera out of the bag. Tuesday, we had lunch and went to the park with some friends. Wednesday, I photographed my sweet, new nephew as you can see in the previous post. Then Thursday, we went to the Dallas Aboretum to experience Dallas Blooms. It was beautiful! And a perfect day. And a day that I actually took my camera out!

So… Here are some of the moments I captured!

First, we have the girls… My girls and my cousin–so funny to say that when she’s the same age as my middle child.

The boys… Caleb and his cousin.

The little girls.

My big girl!

My girls again.

And my boy one more time. He ended up taking a nap at one point, so that was nice!

Then some scenery shots.

I’m game too if anyone wants to book a session here. It’s beautiful right now and it would be perfect before it got too hot out. Just shoot me an email or call me!

**Updated with zoo picture courtesy of my sister in law. Thanks A!
