Inspiration

Do you ever get stumped on what to order and what size? Then start to wonder how you’re going to arrange it on your walls? I’m so excited to introduce my new Photo Walls Inspirations. I’ll be trying to incorporate one to two with every session to help you visualize how your pictures will look once ordered. You can even customize your design and let me know which images you want in what size and I can give you an example.

Here are a couple I put together last night.

How about something like this above your couch?

Or something like this above the fireplace mantle?

So if you’re stumped and need help, just let me know and I’ll help you pick the perfect layout for your portraits!

Awesome idea! Looks great…way to go you 😉

Jill, I love this post. Picture arranging is something I definitely don’t have confidence in doing. I just got some picture shelves from Ikea, but haven’t put them up yet. Let me throw this at you. I have one shelf that is six feet long, and two more that are just under two feet. I want to group all three together, and I have everything from 18×20’s to 5×7’s to put on them. They are going on a big blank wall in my bedroom (not over the bed).

  3. Amy

    That’s a neat idea.

  4. Two Sisters

That is an awesome idea Jill! I am a big fan of using photos to decorate, so I love the mantel pics!

Finally, the rest of Mr. P’s Big Debut!

I seriously have such a hard time narrowing down my favorites on this session! There were so many that I liked.

I won’t keep you waiting any longer… Here are some of my favs!

Thanks for looking! I’ll be in touch when I have your proofs ready!

For some reason, my background is looking wonky… It won’t be like that when printed… I think it has to do with my LCD monitor. So disregard for now if you’re seeing what I am…

OMG! Look at this cutie I got to photograph today!

This is literally a sneak of a sneak, but I couldn’t resist not editing at least one to share! His big sister is just as cute!

Oh and just a little plug… This is my new hat I made! I made a similar one, but in different colors, however, I gave it to my SIL who is due to have a baby next month… So keep your eyes open for that one because I’m sure we’ll use it at our shoot.

Okay, enough chatter–look at this cutie! Usually I do newborns about a week old or less, but this guy was almost 9 weeks… So I was pleasantly surprised when we got these sleeping pics!

Oh and if you will, leave me some love… My blog is feeling neglected these days!

Okay, I snuck in a little more time to do one more… Proud big sister!

oh my gosh, he is so cute! baby c might be here before we know it and she wants him to hold off for another 3 1/2 wks, so we’ll see! That would put him technically a 1 1/2 wks early.

Happy Valentine’s in 2009! (from Maddie)

Here is a sampling of Maddie’s V-Day card from this year.

Her teacher loved it and said she had to pass it around to the other teachers in the K & 1st grade hall.

And yes, my backdrop looks different… It’s just how the light hits it affects the color and since I’m dealing with natural light, I can’t always control it. So far, I’m still on the fence if I like the grey.

I like that idea with the candy in the hand picture – never seen a picture like that before! Very cute of her too – she’s so photogenic!!! 🙂

Photo-swappin’

Recently a friend of mine contacted me to do a little photo-swappin’. See, she’s getting into photography and we both know a little about PKS (photographer’s kid syndrome). So, what better idea than to swap sessions of our little ones?! Had she not just had a baby when we did our family session, I would have asked her the same back then… BUT–now we’ve a plan and this year will hopefully be better!

Here’s a tidbit from our session last week.

Almost done with the rest… I’ll let you know! Oops! And I see a few spots that I need to fix on the backdrop–ignore for now! I’ll fix prior to printing!

Caught in the act!

I had to post this picture I ran across as I was proofing them! At first we weren’t sure that we caught it, but yep… I caught it!

Let’s just say that her segment with daddy was over after this and he went outside to work in the garage. LOL! Love it!

Oh and excuse the minimal editing… I just changed it to b&w and then websized it with my logo.

Garage shoot!

This afternoon the kiddos and I got a little garage shoot underway so we could get some images for Maddie’s Valentine’s cards. I think the girls were loving modeling for me today! I actually haven’t taken many pictures of them lately… I guess between the holiday rush and then business picking back up, I don’t necessarily pick my camera up as much as I should for my own kiddos. Little man didn’t have his shoot though because I didn’t put his V-Day outfit on… Maybe in the next week I’ll do his…

Miss Maddie-Moo (Cannot believe how old she is getting & how old she is looking!)

Miss Haidy-Hoo (Miss Thang is going to be 4 this month!)

I did get this series of shots of the trio… I love their little expressions and how they each took turns looking at each other… The whole time I’m trying to get them to look at me and smile and this is what I got! I think maybe 2 of them all looking at me–either way, I love this series!

Well, thanks for looking! Maybe next week I’ll post what we came up with for Maddie’s card. Once it gets closer to when she’s going to pass them out so people don’t see them before the fact!

Princess #2

So not only is she the 2nd princess I got to photograph yesterday, she is the 2nd princess for this family. She was a week old yesterday… Kind of a funny story because she had a scheduled delivery, mommy even had her birthdate ‘monogrammed’ on something and little thing decided to come early. LOL! Guess she wanted to show everyone who is going to be in charge for a little bit.

She was precious too!

Here she is in her daddy’s arms….

I think she looks so tiny here!

Such beautiful lips… People pay for lips like these!

She was loving this pose… I think she would have slept here for a while.

Holding mommy and daddy’s rings… And I have to say I love her little booty in the air… not to mention the way her little skin crinkles from her rolls.

In mommy’s arms.

Thank you!

**Be sure to scroll down for the other princess I photographed yesterday if you didn’t see it already. I was loving my job with the two princesses I got to meet.

Hey… your conversions look really good! I’ve been reading a lot about them lately and usually don’t notice when someone has done a “good” one, but I like these! The princesses are too sweet!

I am SOOO appreciative to get another little peak at AJG!! Thank you so much!

It takes 4…

Well, in this family’s situation… It took them 4 kids to have a baby girl! You might remember them from the most recent maternity I did… They wanted to be surprised, so they had no idea that this little one was going to be a princess!

She was 11 days old for our session and just starting to be more awake and not so curly, but we pressed on and finally got what we were looking for!

Getting some love from her brothers… Can you picture this little girl when she goes on her first date?? And the protection she’ll get from her brothers. Watch out boys! This girl has a crew behind her!

My new little prop. Isn’t it cute?

Check out my knitting… I knitted this hat! Who knew I could knit? LOL! They actually make it quite easy these days!

Snug in mommy’s arms!

All tuckered out… This was as I was packing up and I thought she looked so content laying there. Baby burrito!

Such a precious baby girl! I loved her little rolls, cheeks, etc. So sweet!

Hey! Impressive knitting! I’ve seen those hats before and they’re cute! I also like your “last minute” photo… very PJ and very baby burrito! 🙂 They don’t stay like that for long…
