You’re welcome…

If anyone is wondering where the rain came from… I washed my car (by hand) this weekend for the first time in who knows how long… Probably before I was pregnant with Caleb, so I probably had a little bit to do with the rain. LOL! Maybe I should wash it more often… I know my yard would appreciate it because today was just a tease.

Maybe if we all wash our vehicles, we’ll get a nice little downpour. Who’s in?

I thought I was the only one with the special power to cause it to rain when I washed my car.

Meet Mr. J

This is Mr. J. He is 6 months old. He was such a cutie! I had a hard time picking some favorites, so enjoy the abundant sneak peek!

Now you see why I had such a hard time… Which in turn means I have lots of editing to do… Mr. J was definitely a joy to photograph! And as much as I’d love to continue to blog, gotta get back to work… Mr. J’s mom–I’ll be in touch!

These are really good, Jill! I especially like the vintage toned one with him on the blanket. Some of the more traditional shots are great too. He sure looks like his daddy!

  2. The Farns

It looks incredible when you have that black backdrop…really makes everything pop out. The blanket one was a great backdrop. Sometimes I think really busy things would not work, but that one definitely did.

Playing at the Park

We met some friends at the park early this morning before it got too hot… The girls had lots of fun. Once they got all the swinging, sliding, and see-sawing out of them, we headed for a little walk around the lake. Well, they call it a lake, but it’s just a pond if you ask the country folk in me!

I tried some different processing on these, so let me know what you think and which ones you like…

This first one is just basically SOOC (straight out of camera) except for a little web-sharpening. Well, and I made it into a little collage…

This one I did a muted vintage look…

This one is a vintage film… It has a little more pop than the one before…

My usual vanilla black and white…

Then this one is a color pop…

Another color pop on this one too…

It was a fun day and I’m sure we’ll be doing it again soon!

Out of the vintage ones, I like the one with the pop better, but both are good. I also like the color with an extra pop. They are all good.

  2. Les and Kimberly

I like the usual vanilla black and white – I think that’s what you called it. It is the black and white picture under the tree at the city park.

  3. The Copeland Family

The park pictures turned out GREAT!

I have got to get CS3…I love the vintage muted and the color pops they look sooo good.

Kids do the darndest things…

I’m pretty lax about naptimes around here… Maddie doesn’t nap anymore, so I let Haidyn nap on the couch most days. She’s really good about laying down and going to sleep no questions asked. I’m strict about bedtime though! Well, the other day Caleb and Haidyn had both gone to sleep (as usual)… I dozed in and out too actually. Well, about an hour or so into our nap, I saw Maddie make a little pallet on our coffee table. Little did I know that she had fallen asleep like the rest of us… I didn’t notice she was truly asleep until I had gotten up later to do some things around the house.

I guess while I was snapping these I kind of woke Haidyn up… I went into the kitchen to get a different angle of Maddie and when I came back into the living room, Haidyn had migrated to the floor by the armoire. She is really asleep here!

A couple of of Maddie-moo sleeping on the coffee table. Poor thing… Don’t kids know that one day, they’re going to miss naps and it’s really not all that bad to sleep in your own comfy bed?? I know I do!

These kids… I really am enjoying staying home with them… Our days are long and sometimes (most times) hard, but it’s the little things like this that make me smile and be grateful that I got to experience it for myself.

Precious! You will treasure these pics for a lifetime!

  2. Amy

Those are so cute! I noticed Maddie likes to lay on my ottoman. There’s just something about coffee tables/ottomans with her I guess.

  3. Two Sisters

When I saw the first picture, I thought that was Caleb on the other end of the couch and thought he looked wierd:). Then I noticed it was a “pretend” napper.

    Cute pics of those girlies!

  4. The Farns

Oh to be back to the days of naps when life was easy and good.

Under Construction…

Just thought I’d let you know that I’m working on the blog… I noticed that it was loading pretty slow for me and then someone else mentioned it to me, so I’m working on compressing my files. Which means I have to open each picture in Photoshop and re-save them, change the compression, load them back to blogger, change the code for them to still be large pics, etc. Thanks for your patience and if you notice it loading faster for you or if it’s still pretty slow, let me know… I want to make sure I get it back to top-speed again. Give me a few days though since there are so many posts and pictures to update!

Thanks!

Not just cruising… **UPDATED w/a pic**

Just a quick post to document that the Little Man is not just cruising on the furniture anymore… Yep… that’s right, he took his first steps yesterday at his Aunt Amy and Uncle Craig’s house (the triplets house)! No pics to document yet, but hopefully I’ll catch him in action soon. He’d still much rather crawl, but we’re guessing the more confident he gets, the more walking he’ll do. He’s 11 mos. today, so maybe by his first birthday he’ll be a walking machine!

I thought I’d add a snapshot I took of the little man taking a step… You can’t really tell of course since it’s not a video, but you get the idea…

You may have said this yesterday, but I didn’t realize those were his first steps ever. Go Caleb!

  2. Two Sisters

I keep meaning to leave a comment for Caleb. Way to go! Maybe you can come hang out with me and teach me your tricks:).

    Your pal,
    Anna Claire

Mr. B is Back!

Mr. B was back today for a quick session and a birthday invite design. He’s going to be ONE soon!

He was so excited to see me… Can you tell??

We got several shots of him for his invite. He was a great little model. It’s amazing that I get these shots in my measly ol yard. We have this single tree at the corner of our property line that produces the best shade for evening shoots.

Check out how he crosses his little feet when he’s sitting… So CUTE!!

We finally called it quits when the ants, bees, and birds were getting a little irritated with us! Oh the joys of country life… Can you spot the eggs? Momma bird had them hidden pretty well!

    I don’t see the eggs

  2. Jill Cornelius

They’re smack dab in the middle of the pic… tan with black dots…

  3. The Farns

Great shots as always. The colors are incredible. My favorite is the one of him looking up. Good picture of the eggs.

  4. Les and Kimberly

Aw….he looks like such a happy baby in the pictures – very cute! Are those bird eggs or what?!
