Sneak of a Sneak Peek…

I was just thumbing through this session I had of Mr. C yesterday and this little shot just grabbed my attention… He was definitely all smiles. I haven’t even gone through all the images yet, but when I saw this one, I had to stop and do a quick edit on it for a ‘sneak of a sneak peek’!

Be sure to check back to this post or stay tuned for a new post… I’ll be sure to add more once I get them edited. We got many more cute ones!

Someone’s birthday is getting close…

I think all the invites have been delivered or will be soon, so I thought I’d post the birthday invite I created. We’re having a smaller, family and family-like-friends party for Caleb (we usually do), so I thought I’d share his invite to those that haven’t seen it.

I had seen this pose done on a fellow photographer’s blog as a Father’s Day pose and loved it, absolutely loved it, so I thought it would make a great invite for our ‘Little Man’ since that is what I’ve called him since Day 1.

Eight more days and he’ll be 1! Man, where did this last year go?

Once again these were taken in my front yard (in front of the garage) all natural light! I can’t wait for it too cool off more because I’m going to love having that great light I get there… It’s quite a bit larger area than my breakfast nook!

Edited to add… This is a version that I created prior to making the final arrangements… So if anyone sees that the details on this one is different than the version they got, please go by the one you got in the mail (obviously). The location and duration is wrong on this proof. Sorry for any confusion!

  2. The Copeland Family

So cute!! I agree with Alisa…you are EXTREMELY talented! I can’t believe one is right around the corner!

  3. Amy

We will plan to be there! Hopefully Craig will not have to work!

  4. Amy

Oh… is our little man walking yet?

  5. Jill Cornelius

    Thank you guys!

And yes, he is walking everywhere! The only thing he can’t do it stand up from sitting, he has to pull up on something, so if he falls, he crawls over to something, stands up and then walks away.

I think by his party he’ll be an old pro!

  6. Amy

    I figured so but I hadn’t heard.

Of all the photographs you have post I think this one has moved to my favorite.

You snooze, you lose in this family…

Earlier this week Caleb hit the jackpot… Haidyn had gotten up from breakfast (something my girls do way too much–we’re working on it) and when she came back this is what she found. Someone had gotten her cereal… She wasn’t very happy to say the least, but I didn’t want to take it away from him because (1) didn’t want to hear the screaming and (2) it was keeping him busy so I could do the dishes. She did get to finish her cereal though, but only after I poured her a new bowl!

Can you see Haidyn’s expression on her face in the corner of the picture when she realized her cereal was gone. I don’t think at this point she realized her brother had it!

‘Jackpot’ says the boy!

So sad… But bliss in the background!

Looking longingly at her little bowl of cereal… no longer hers!
Poor Haidyn… The middle child does usually get the short end of the stick. You’d think she’d learn the whole, ‘You snooze, you lose’ concept by now!

keep doing that… then maybe they would stay sitting at the table and eat.

  2. Elizabeth

That is too funny…Haidyn is so cute pouting. Love it!

  3. The Farns

Some of those expressions are like the Visa commercial….PRICELESS!

  4. Les and Kimberly

The look on her face is so pouty, but yet so cute! 🙂

Haidyn is Beautiful!! Love that hair…wish mine looked that way straight out of bed. 🙂

  6. Angela

That is HILARIOUS!! Go Caleb!! Chase has done that to Blake too many times to count (Ethan dosen’t leave anything in his bowl, so this is not a problwm for him.)

Just my boys…

This morning we did a quick little shoot while trying to get the perfect picture for Caleb’s 1st birthday invite… Can you believe he’s almost one? He’s walking more and more… I think by his birthday he’ll be walking more than crawling! I can’t believe that it’s almost here.

Well, here are two shots that we took… They’re not the ones for his invite though… I’m saving those for after I’ve actually completed them and mailed them out. So you’ll just have to wait to see the final product!

I’ve always wanted to do this shot! I just love it anytime I see it done.

Then gotta love baby booty! This wasn’t really planned… Caleb had enough of his little shoot and daddy was comforting him. I just want to eat him up!

Oh and for the photography buffs… These were done all natural light in my driveway! Yep… My house faces the East, but my garage swings out in front and it acted as my shade. We just hung my little white and black backdrops on the garage trim and shot away.

I have to say this is one of my favorite pictures…I am not sure what kind of jeans those are but I bet you could send it in and it would make the marketing campaign. The other picture all I have to say is “just say no to crack”.

  2. Two Sisters

I have pics of both of my girls like that, but with me. Love it!

Awww……I love the first pic of the boys, so cute!

You are so good with the camera. I am a beginner photographing pets. I love doing it but not as skilled as I would like to be. Your kids are growing up to be so beautiful.
    Best wishes to you all.

Ahhh…PRECIOUS! Both of the boys have the first shot and I LOVE looking back at each one.

Dancin’, Dancin’, Dancin’!!

This is Miss K… I photographed her little brother not too long ago and then her mother wanted some of her in her tap and ballet outfits. These were done in my fancy schmancy studio… LOL! My kitchen… of all places… It works though! I do hope to have a ‘real’ studio one day, but for now…

I’ll be in touch Miss K’s mom… Oh and a collage, might be a cute idea… Let me know if you’re interested!

You’re welcome…

If anyone is wondering where the rain came from… I washed my car (by hand) this weekend for the first time in who knows how long… Probably before I was pregnant with Caleb, so I probably had a little bit to do with the rain. LOL! Maybe I should wash it more often… I know my yard would appreciate it because today was just a tease.

Maybe if we all wash our vehicles, we’ll get a nice little downpour. Who’s in?

I thought I was the only one with the special power to cause it to rain when I washed my car.
