Officially ONE Now!

Mr. L turned one last week and yesterday we did our final session of his Baby Plan. Wow! I cannot believe a whole year has passed. It’s amazing to see this sweet little newborn has turned into this sweet little boy. I’m so glad to have been a part of it and love that I was able to capture this first year for his family… We started our session outdoors and then went back to the house to do the indoor stuff, cuz we have to do a cake smash for that first birthday!

One of my favs! Literally one of the first ones we took too!

He looks so little here, but he’s actually gotten so big from a year ago!

A little break to eat some rocks…

There we go!

He even sampled the greenery (ha), but I’ll just share the smiling one.

Such a little man!

Quick pit stop at an old garage for some birthday fun… Love my new ‘1’!

Finally–the car!

I think he liked it…

Love this! His little legs straight out…

Standing is so fun! I hear he’s taking steps, but prefers to crawl since he’s faster at it–just wait, he’ll be running before you know it!

Then, the long awaited cake! Before…

During…

And after!

I’d say that was a success! Thank you R family… I am more than honored to have been a part of Mr. L’s first year and look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you all!

*Oh and my neat 1… The husband of one of my closest friends made it for me. He does some pretty great work if you’re looking for ironwork. Here is his info…

Absolutely stunning…

When I met this family yesterday I was absolutely amazed at how stunning Miss Ella is… Her eyes are the kind that draw you in–they just shine! She was a doll too, so laid back, several outfit changes, several different settings and she just went along with it all. She even took a catnap on daddy’s shoulder, woke up for a few more pics and was good to go! Love it! I think I could have taken her home with me. 😉

See–she was happy from the very beginning!

So pretty…

Even when she wasn’t smiling, her face was just adorable…

She loved her Momma!

Her daddy too!

I try to get a walking pic at every session… I just like the serenity of them!

Close-up FAV! There’s those eyes–not to mention the precious little lips.

The family.

And the princess!

Love the water falling behind her!

Tu-tu Cute!

Basket time… As I turned around after snapping these, I noticed Miss Ella had an audience (snapping her pic too)! They were oohing and ahhing over her…

Her faces were hilarious! The wind kept taking her breath away.

This was after her catnap while walking… Happy as can be again!

One last one–the flowers were just too perfect of a match for her outfit!

Thank you G family! I enjoyed meeting you all–you have a beautiful family.

A long awaited session…

Finally! Let’s just say that probably a year ago this family contacted me for a session and weather/schedules were not on our side! Well, we finally gave it a break and decided to try for this Spring… And we did it! The rain came last weekend, we rescheduled for the 4th time, I think and today the blue skies prevailed and we were able to do our session. Woo-hoo! I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief, especially once you see the gems we got…

I really love all the neat architecture at the Arboretum… Not just the landscaping!

Love these–especially little brother looking up to his big brother!

Right after this, the boys immediately started saying, ‘Ewww!’ Ha!

Daddy and his Little Men

Handsome, huh?

This little guy liked to gross his brother out too, though!

A momma and her boys–nothing else like it!

Talk about fun!

Thank you C family! I hope you enjoy this sneak… There were so many great ones, I had a hard time choosing, so I just decided to share a bunch! I’ll be in touch.

Anyone else interested in Arboretum shoots–let me know! I hear there is going to be a Peter Rabbit’s Flower Village coming in May – July…

J + J = L.O.V.E.

These two will be joining as one later this year and wanted to capture some pictures to celebrate their engagement. We met up at the park and decided to take a little hike while we waited for the crowds to clear out. So glad that we did–found lots of neat places hidden back on the Disc Golf Course.

Meet the Mr. and Mrs.-to-Be!

What a fun shoot! I enjoyed meeting you two and wish you many blessings on your special day. Oh and thank you for being open to checking out the ‘flower field’.

One month to go…

One more month is all she’s got… That’s because she is graduating! Woo-hoo! Today I got to meet a fun senior and her mom. We had to switch up locations due to our original plan in McKinney got pushed aside for an event that was already on the books, but I think the backup plan work. The Harbor! Always fun with the water, colorful walls and beautiful views.

Meet Cera–Senior 2010!

I had a blast girls! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll be in touch soon when the proofs are ready so we can get those pics ordered and in the mail before graduation!

Colorful…

Today was the first rain make-up session from this past Saturday. So glad that we rescheduled… Even though it never poured on Saturday, it had rained the night before and we didn’t want to risk soggy ground. It also gave this mommy the opportunity to find the most adorable outfit… Yay! I’m sure you’ll recognize this baby planner… It’s Miss K–She’s 9 months old now!

This was her signature pose today… Either she’s telling us she’s almost 1 or she’s pointing–I’ll leave it up to you to decide. 😉

So cute…

Love how the colors coordinate with the beautiful scenery!

Hansel & Gretel’s House

Loved, LOVED, the water! She actually cried when we would take her away.

I told you!

The most squeezable cheeks!

Doesn’t she look angelic looking at the fountain? Then the tippy toes–so cute!

Baby blues…

Her growth item–the bow! She’s getting so big…

She was such a big girl standing there… She didn’t want to get down.

Precious!

“What’s that?”

Ahh, she’s even a little shy!

Thank you C family! It was a beautiful day for the park–I enjoyed it… Miss K was good as usual. She just continues to get more and more cute–not to mention big!

The Irony…

Interesting enough, a year ago today, I posted this–Rain, Rain, Go Away… How fitting since today I was saying the same thing! Today was supposed to be the first of many outdoor sessions scheduled at the Arboretum. I actually had 3 on the books for this morning and then an urban scheduled for the afternoon. Well, all week they had been calling for rain, but I kept telling everyone that let’s wait it out and go for it unless it is actually raining. I think I got little sleep last night wondering if we would get to actually shoot or not. Watched the forecast this morning, got a call, made a few others and we decided on rescheduling the shoots. It had rained during the night and we figured that the grounds might be too wet to do some fun stuff and we didn’t want to be so limited with the potential the Arboretum has. Darn!

So–Be on the watch for the first of many shoots to come! I think I have 3 trips scheduled for that location with 4 different families in addition to a couple baby planners turning one.

I’m ready, so let’s get the April Showers on out of here!

Beautiful!

Today I met one of the sweetest newborn baby girls… She was so sweet, she even let us play with her for almost 4 hours! I think it was probably my longest session to date, but it wasn’t because it was a challenge–she was just so good and let us do this and do that… Little did we know that several hours had passed!

Go ahead and grab a snack and drink… I figured with 4 hours of shooting, the sneak peek would be quite substantial. Enjoy!

So sleepy…

Little profile!

She really was like modeling clay–just let us mold her into the sweetest little poses.

Precious baby!

I love this one…

Something new–love the color combo!

Ready to go!

Classic black & white.

But–how sweet are those slippers and big pink bow?

Cutie!

Daddy liked this setup–I think we got a winner too!

Reminder of the womb…

Do you see the glow? That new parent glow? I do!

C.H.E.R.I.S.H.
Thank you H family for inviting me into your lives… I look forward to watching Miss R grow up over this next year. I can tell you two are going to be great parents–you’re already doing such an awesome job!

Blonde Hair and Blue Eyes!

This little guy has the cutest wispy blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes. He tried to throw mommy for a loop today and wake up earlier than usual, but we still snuck some smiles out of him before he was ready to take a nap.

Check out this little pose… He did it all on his own!

Happy boy!

Fun in the basket…

Love little profiles!

I see you… **Can you see his little blonde wispy hair?

Such a big boy!

“No more, please!”

Ahh–naptime…

Thank you J family for having me out. Mr. C was a sweetie–I can’t believe how big he just keeps getting!

Cuteness Alert!

Remember those adorable newborn twins from last week?? Well, today I got to meet their cousin! Miss B–she was in town visiting her new cousins and we were able to get a session in. She was definitely a mover and a groover at 7 months old–so we had to work fast!

How cute is she??

Standing so tall!

So sweet!

Mommy-time…

I love her little head in this one… She has got the pose down!

Baby booty!

Precious face…

And adorable smile!

Beautiful lashes…

Pretty in pink!

Sit in the basket? Nope–not when you can stand! 😉

Thank you C family for sending your SIL my way! I hope you guys enjoy them and I’ll be in touch soon when the proofs are ready.
