It can’t be…

Another baby planner is 1! Seriously… They’re not supposed to grow up that fast. They’re not even my kiddos and I feel like that first year just flew by! Miss A’s mommy wanted to do something different for her session this time… We’ve done all ‘studio’ type sessions, so this one was going to be a Day in the Life type… It was actually quite fun!

We started out in her adorable room…

How cute is this tent?

She even read us a book!

Then she showed me her playroom…

Next was the decorations for her big party this Saturday!

She’s pretty happy about that party…

Hi there pretty girl.

She’s ONE!

Then we ended it with a cake smash… She wasn’t so sure about it, but she seemed to enjoy putting her fingers in it.

Thank you D family! I can’t believe this year has come to an end… Miss A has grown to be quite the cute little girl with such a sweet spirit. I wish her a Happy Birthday and a great party!

We used to play Bunco!

So today’s first session was with a family that I actually used to play Bunco with many years ago (back when we lived in our first house). I can’t believe it’s been so long! They’ve actually recently moved into a new home and wanted some stuff done around there. We fought the rain and the wind… Thankfully, the rain held off and it was only the wind that we had to deal with.

The family…

Momma’s Girl!

The ‘other’ child. LOL!

Everyone got a picture with Willie! He was so cute. He was posing for me.

Love it when I get a good laugh out of people.

How divine is this? L-O-V-E it!

These are the fun times… Cherish these moments!

Pretty girl!

Thank you D family! I’m glad we fought that crazy wind and went on with the session. I’ll be in touch soon when your proofs are ready.

It’s Usually Not Too Late…

Especially when they were born early! Yesterday, Miss A’s momma contacted me for a newborn session, but she was concerned that it might be too late since she was already 2 weeks old. Not the case for Miss A. She was 3.5 weeks early and still wasn’t ‘due’ yet, so that was a definite perk! I was able to switch around my schedule and fit her in today. And boy am I glad! She was a dream… Super sleepy, super curly, and oh so cute! Besides set-up and take-down, I was done in an hour tops… And no messes to clean up! I’d say she rocked her newborn session!

Here she is…

Look at that great hair!

Pretty cute with the hat too…

She how curly she is!

I love profile shots…

She seemed so tiny, but was actually a good size for being early.

Cuddly little thing!

Her legs just naturally curled up like this. No posing required!

Love her little hands.

So small in Daddy’s hands…

Now you can see how small she really is!

Some Mommy lovin’.

Isn’t that hair fabulous?

I loved her face in this one… It’s almost as if she has pouty lips.

The new family!

Congrats W Family! I enjoyed meeting your princess today–she was a joy to work with… I’ll be in touch soon when you’re proofs are ready.

Such a Princess…

With two big brothers, I’m guessing this baby girl is going to be quite the princess. She’s already loved by many! Speaking from experience it is so fun to experience a boy after two girls, so while this is the opposite, I’m betting this family is in for quite fun times! Plus girls are so much fun to dress and doll up–much different from little boys.

Meet Miss C. All 6 lbs and a few oz. of her!

So fun with all the frilly stuff!

Her lovie went perfectly with my backdrop…

I’ll always love this look–so classic!

Loved this… As I was repositioning her, she decided to stretch out. Had to capture that!

Her trunk that matches her room. She really is tiny!

I see many more tu-tus in her future!

So sweet! Probably one of the easiest babies I’ve done…

Thank you H family for letting me capture the innocence, newness and just flat out preciousness of a newborn for you. I enjoyed it and an look forward to sharing the rest with you!

Mr. Handsome was kind of shy…

Mr.Handsome was kind of shy today, but that didn’t stop us from getting some ‘oh so cute, he’s going to be one stuff’! We braved this wind and started outdoors and then headed back to the house for a few more things and the cake smash.

He’s cute with his serious face, his semi-smile and his BIG smile!

Standing so big!

I think he’s gonna be a little flirty guy… Check out that look! Watch out girls…

Ahh, relaxation…

Haha! Mom is so funny…

Happy boy!

A dimple!

His new ride…

Beep! Beep!

Watch out world…

Here he comes!

Then the cake! He tore into it like probably no other that I have seen… Didn’t eat much, but definitely liked destroying it. Love his face in that middle pic!

Thank you P family! I can’t believe Mr. Handsome is already about to be ONE! That year went by way too fast.

Boy, n.: a noise with dirt on it.

A 2 year old boy at that… I’ve been photographing Mr. C since he was about a month old now, but I’ve known his mommy most my life. Grandpa has a couple of cool cards so we decided to do his session with one of them…

It’s a big one, so sit back and relax a bit…

He was a little unsure of me at first.

There he is!

A plane? I don’t see a plane…

Here you go, Mommy. Happy Mother’s Day!

I think this one might be one of my favs!

Checkin’ the oil.

Time to go…

Sitting tall!

Love his little pose! So big!

Close-up…

So cute!

Chucks!

Here we go… Watch for it…

Muah!

All done!

Thank you Mr. C! Have fun being two–it’s definitely a blast…

That hair, those eyes and the lip!

I always enjoy seeing my baby planners turn 3 months old… They usually change so much from that newborn session–And Mr. B was no exception! He could not have gotten any cuter… Just wait and see!

Look at that lip! I can see it coming in as an advantage one day when he wants something.

But! Look at that hair and pretty blues…

He thought I was pretty funny!

Mommy loving!

Sweet, sweet boy!

Blue as the ocean…

His fun bedding!

The hair! Isn’t it just greatness?!

We were recreating a pose big sister did at the same age.

Sleeping with his lovie!

Those lashes are pretty divine too!

Little Man…

Thank you C family! Mr. B is Adorable with a capital A. Thank you for letting me come play with him today!

Strike 3-You’re OUT! Senior 2010…

Yesterday, I met up with a senior to get a quick session in before he graduated… Gosh, only 4 more weeks to go! I’m sure like most men, taking pictures isn’t at the top of their list, but hopefully I made things quick and painless for him and maybe even a little fun… We started out at a park near their house and then I convinced them to come downtown for just a few more–so glad we did–I think they will like the variety!

We jumped right into the fun stuff! Heck–why not when you see a huge boulder?

Then a little more of a posed one…

Cool bridge!

B&W for mom–she loves them!

Great headshot!

There’s even a cool creek here too… Love the sun peeking in behind him!

I thought the No Parking was fun for such a ‘cool’ guy pose!

Awesome eyes, huh?

Love this!

When I heard he played ball, I knew the perfect spot since it was the school colors!

Thanks C! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll have your proofs as soon as possible so we can get them ordered for your graduation. And thank you mom! You have a great son–I’m sure you’re proud of him.

**Be sure to scroll down for another cutie from this weekend. He’s ONE!

He’s more than fun… He’s ONE!

Another baby plan, another 1st birthday! I can’t believe all my babies are growing up so fast on me… Where did that last year go? This little guy was a blast and loved being outdoors! He was pretty sick a couple of weeks ago, so we had to reschedule, but I’m so glad that he’s all better and that the weather cooperated for our session. It was a perfect morning, I must say…

Mr. J!

With big sis…

He was so into this leaf in between the boards in this spot… It was a miracle that we got him to look up!

Big man walking everywhere–he’s actually been walking for a few months!

Love how this door matched his outfit perfectly!

Ahhh!

Beautiful big sister!

See… So pretty!

Mr. J is ONE!

He’s like a little boy now…

Everyone loved my little trick to get her to smile a ‘real’ smile. It worked!

Fun in the wagon…

The final picture for his growth collage!

Cake time!

Thank you S family… I enjoyed it and can’t believe Mr. J is one now. Happy Birthday to him!

Such a pretty face…

Yesterday I got the honor of photographing a new baby girl for some friends of ours that we have known for several years. It was such a nice and enjoyable experience too! The princess’s grandparents were there and they were so nice… Then big brother was there–he was helping me with some of my things and talking to me about his baby sister (this is his 2nd baby sister). Big sister was at school, but I’m sure she’s going to be a great big sister! So–onto the baby girl–kind of rambling here! She was so sweet–and really such a pretty face. She actually favors her big brother quite a bit!

Here she is… She’s was pretty happy to meet me! Or she’s just happy to be here with such a great family –this was literally the first picture I took!

Mom was telling me how long her fingers were, so I tried to capture that for them to remember…

Love!

Isn’t her face just perfect?

Little back creases… And that lip!

A sweet blanket a loving relative made!

Then–how about this one! Another handmade ensemble. Loving the bright colors–goes perfect with that cute face!

She really is a happy baby! This was mom’s bonnet and if I remember correctly, she carried it in her wedding too as a hankie.

In Daddy’s arms…

Little Traveler…

Peaceful in momma’s arms.

Perfect little toes!

Her very much adoring parents!

Thank you S family for having me out… Miss K is absolutely precious and I hope you enjoy your sneak as much as I enjoyed capturing this moment of her life for you.
