All 19 lbs. of Him!

I have this group of clients that all work together. They’re awesome L&D nurses at one of the local hospitals and they continue to spread the love to new people–I am so grateful for them! Today I got to meet one of their fellow co-workers and her family. Our main focus was Mr. E–he’s 6 months old now! He’s just mastered sitting, which is always fun…

I love the classic b&w sitting picture!

Check out those eyes!

For some reason I’m always drawn to the serious ones, but that smile is pretty cute too!

Just chillin’…

All his lovies!

Little baby butt!

Basket time!

Fun with dad…

The family!

He loves his Momma!

Standing tall–he was blowing raspberries in the 2nd one!

Check out his tie! It matched my drop perfectly.

And then we’re done…

What a fun session! We kept it moving and the little guy did so well–even after a little topple. Thank you G family! I enjoyed meeting you all and can’t wait until our next session…

8 Days Old

I still remember the day that Momma R called me to tell me she wanted me to capture the first year of her new baby… I asked her when the baby was due and she replied with March–that was 6 months ago, before she even knew that Baby D was a boy. And today I got to meet him! He was absolutely adorable. He didn’t even really cry–just let out a little peep when it was time to eat.

There is an abundance of pics, so I’ll go ahead and get started with them…

He had the best lashes… So long and curled up!

There are those back wrinkles that I love so much…

I have been wanting to do this shot forever, but haven’t ever had the chance–today I made a point. I literally got one shot–this was it and man am I happy that it was a keeper!

Baby boy in blue…

Trying out a new hat–not bad for $2.50!

Love this bear! This was one of his gifts he got in the hospital when he was born.

Does this not make you think of how babies are all curled up in the womb? He actually stayed like this for quite a bit while I changed up my backdrop for the next shot.

Still lovin’ this!

A sweet blanket made by a very special person.

His lovie… Makes me think of Chester the Cheetah! πŸ˜‰

Sportin’ the big boy hat…
In Daddy’s arms…

Momma’s Little Man…

New family–Love this 2nd one!

Thank you R family… Your new little guy was a dream to photograph. Congratulations to you all!

All 10 lbs of Her!

Oh my goodness… I met the squishiest, sweetest baby girl today. I think I wub her! She was so good and just so cute with her little rolls. Mom and I have known each other for many years actually and when I heard she was having a baby girl after two boys I couldn’t wait for the opportunity to photograph her…

Look at this adorable thing…

Love this face!

Simple, but oh so sweet!

Daddy had a great idea to use the flowers–I think it was a pretty good idea!

Some mommy lovin’!

Can you see sweet baby smiling at daddy?

Beaming parents…

Thank you G family! Next time we’ve got to get those big brothers in some pics when biggest brother isn’t at school–just let me know and we’ll sneak some in!

Ready to meet the world…

This little guy is already 4 weeks old, but wasn’t supposed to be here for another 2 weeks… And he was just as perfect as they come… So sweet and sleepy! He was actually a good sized boy for being so early and as you can tell, has filled out nicely. I loved his little back creases and face!

Meet my newest baby planner–can’t wait to watch this little guy grow up over the next year!

He’s really happy to be here!

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of this basket–it has served it’s purpose over the years and held lots of newborns.

Sweet little lips…

See, I told you he was happy to be here!

A little team spirit…

Just a little something different–a new hat I picked up and then a little different processing.

See what I mean about those back creases and cheeks??

Baby bear…

Such a unique name–BUT believe it or not, he’s the 2nd one I’ve met actually!

He was wide awake for us towards the end…

High – 5!

And his parents…

Thank you F family for having me out! I’m so glad that you called me and we were able to get the little guy in… He is a handsome one and I look forward to getting to know you over this next year. I’ll be in touch when the proofs are ready!

Breathtaking…

As you can tell, I am on a newborn kick right now… I’ve had several new ones recently and have several more this month. I cannot wait to get my hands on each of them–especially after catching a glimpse of this one while editing today!

Seriously–How handsome is he?

Love when they’re dreamin’ about eating… See his little mouth pursed together and tongue ready? I can hear that little sound as I type.

So with all these newborns lately it reminded me how all my last year newborns are quickly approaching their one year old session… And I won’t be seeing them as often! To help keep me busy from being sad about all my babies growing up I thought I’d do a little promotion for a little bit.

Here it is…

**Do you have a bun in your oven? Or maybe your sweet wife does… Even if that bun isn’t due for another 6 months…

Sign up for a baby plan between now and March 31 and receive a 6th session for free! You can either tack on a maternity session in addition to the already 5 baby sessions or add on an 18 mos. – 2 year session to the end of the baby plan. How cool is that?

Now–to make this appealing to those of you that aren’t expecting… The first 5 people that send someone my way that is expecting will get a gift certificate for a complimentary session once that person has signed up for the baby plan. Wow! I said it… FREE!

~All other details apply–see Investment page for details.

So come on… I know I’ve seen lots of baby bumps out there… Can’t wait to hear from you!

Are you a fan??

Have you scrolled down to the bottom of the blog lately? Have you seen there is a link to become a fan of JC-Originals on Facebook? Are you a fan? Well, then what are you waiting for??

JC-Originals wants more fans… I want to get the word out there! I’ve got some neat specials coming up and some of them may only be made public to those of you that are fans on Facebook.

So… Don’t delay–become a fan… Get free stuff… Tell your friends about me on Facebook… Get more free stuff. Simple, huh?

Fan JC-Originals Photography

Let’s set a goal… How about 100 fans? That’s only 25 more at this point…

Oh and because I found another gem of a photo when proofing this session…

Isn’t God’s creation just magnificant? Every little detail is just pure perfection.

How Big is Big Enough??

Do you ever wonder how big you should go when you order a wall portrait? Most people don’t realize how small an 8×10 really is…

Recently my sister in law was looking to fill a space in her home above her fireplace… Well, we went big–how big? Pretty big! We actually did a custom size to fit her particular space, but basically it was right under 30×40 if I remember correctly.

I had her take a couple of pictures to show you the end result…

Could you imagine how tiny an 8×10 would have looked up there? πŸ˜‰ The pic in the frame on the actual mantle is a 4×6 just to give you a comparison. So don’t be afraid to go BIG! Show everyone just how beautiful that family of yours is–don’t be shy about it!

You keep me wanting to learn and improve so that I can keep providing everyone (newcomers and my faithful return clients) with portraits that portray all these memories!

Still new at almost 4 weeks old…

This little guy came into the world almost 4 weeks ago so when his momma called me, I knew we had to get him in quick… He is one of the oldest newborns I’m done and let me tell you, he did not disappoint. He was just precious!

Simple, but yet so handsome…

Little teddy bear!

Talking to momma…

Love newborn eye contact!

We had to use mom & dad’s throw… Isn’t it great?!

And my new fav setup…

Isn’t that just the sweetest face??

I am lovin’ this one… I would print this one as a big canvas!

Thank you C family for having me out… I’m so glad that Ms. P told you about me and we were able to get Mr. A in… Oh and just a note for everyone else… Even though I prefer newborns as young as 5-7 days old, as you can see here, some of those poses are still possible as an older newborn. So don’t hesitate to call me if you’ve just had your baby… I’d love to meet them!

Mr. Smiley had to reschedule…

Last week this little guy’s session got pushed back because he was sick… Poor thing too! However, after seeing today’s weather it was worth it. Beautiful skies and sun today. We even did his session ‘outside’… In the garage! I love the light garage sessions produce… Such beautiful catchlights.

Check it out for yourself… Can you see me in his eyes? Look closely!

If you follow the blog you’ll probably recognize this basket… We’ve been tracking his growth with it!

Love all these… His serious face, his sweet smile and his BIG smile!

I can’t get over how big he’s gotten…

He was on the move… Pushing my stool all over!

Crawlin’ like there is no tomorrow…

And then he was off in the little blue car!

Beep! Beep!

Chug a chug, chug a chug… Toot-toot!

Once again another baby planner is 9 months old… Which means in 3 short months he’ll be 1! Oh my goodness… Slow down Mr. Smiley!

One Response to “Mr. Smiley had to reschedule…”
