Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day from us…

Thought I’d share my kids’ cards they passed out this year.

Maddie…

Haidyn…

Caleb…

I had big plans for an idea this year, but between the flu and two weeks of snow days, we had to compromise with pictures we’d already taken.

Mr. J is a big brother!

I was so excited when Mr. J’s (a former baby planner) mommy let me know that she was expecting another baby. I’m always sad to see a baby planner graduate and it just makes my day to know that the family wants me to capture those same memories for their next bundle of joy. Plus I get to see the bigger sibling again!

So this is Mr. R. He wanted to give me a run for my money. LOL! He was great, but he had a little awake time that we fought through for a little while. But, once we got past it, we rocked on with the rest of the session.

Thank you S family for putting up with me for the marathon session. I enjoyed chatting with you all and seeing your new addition. He is just as cute as his big brother and I can’t wait to watch him grow up.

It's been too long since I looked at one of your newborn sessions. Two adorable kiddos! I love the one where his little hat hangs all the way to the floor.

  2. Jill Cornelius

    Thank you Kayla!

  3. Ryan's Grandma Sexton

I have to agree with Kayla about the hat! Ryan "wears many hats" in these pics & he wears them so well!
I just may have to have a collage of Ryan in all his hats!

Snow, monkeys and cake!

Yep, that’s what I got to do today! And it was so fun… So glad that the roads cleared up enough for me to drive to my shoot this afternoon. I met up with Mr. H who is turning 1 on Tuesday. Wow! Seems like just the other day that I met him at his 3 month session. These last 9 months have flown by–I’m gonna miss him and his big sis! She even colored me a picture for my fridge. How sweet is she?

Today’s session was all about Mr. H! We started outside for a little snow action.

I love this one… His stance, his expression, the colors, everything. LOVE IT!

He was trying to be a serious guy here…

But we know he’s full of smiles!

So cool!

Finally! Cake! Yum!

Thank you B family… So glad that we went ahead and fought the slushy snow and did the session. I love everyone of these and hope you do too!

The ones in Forney with the wagon are so cute… How fun to have a client up for the snow!

Mr. Handsome!

Mr. J came back to me for his 6 month session and it was so neat seeing him. He is definitely a Mr. Handsome. Cute little curls, big brown eyes and chubby legs! He tried to hide his smiles, but we managed to get a few out of him. He was just so busy taking in everything that was going on. So cute!

His serious face…

And his sweet smile!

He loves his Hippo!

Handsome little guy!

Love this! My fav…

All his many faces… And love the top right pic… He’s looking at the baby in the glass!

Thank you Y family for having me back out to do Mr. J’s session. I can’t wait to see him at his next session. He was such a gentleman today!

A Blessing for the L Family…

A week ago the L Family was blessed beyond belief… You see their first two boys had a scare at birth and spent some time in the NICU. Especially middle brother… God had His hand on him the whole time, but it was still a scary time for all. Well, when baby brother #3 was on the way, extra precaution was taken from day one. And he came into this world with no complications.

Meet Mr. Aven. He was 5 days old for our session and was a dream to photograph.

See his cute little hair line?

A smile!

Are they not the most beautiful family ever?

Some pretty proud brothers…

Another little man for daddy…

Safe in mommy’s hands…

Congratulations L Family… I’m elated that he is here safe and sound. And I’m blessed to be able to capture these memories for you.

Birthday Fun!

Saturday was a big day for Miss K. She had her first birthday party and I got to be there! We set up before the party for a little mini session and then wrapped up with a cake smash. She was a pro!

Here is a sampling of our ‘studio’ pics… Party pics coming soon too!

Thank you T family for having me out. It was a great party and Miss K was adorable. Happy 1st Birthday to her!

Double the cuteness…

Today I got to meet up with my C twins… They’re 10 months old now! Seriously, how do these baby planners grow up so fast. I can’t believe they’ll be one in literally two months. Today’s session was quite the adventure–I know I personally felt like I had a workout and I’m sure mom did too! She was the one chasing babies while I was shooting away. Dad and big sister did some baby wrestling too. Hehe! In the end, it was quite fun and we got some pretty cute stuff.

I hope you all enjoy them…

Big sister was a good helper! She even took her own pics with her camera too!

How cute is she?

Handsome little guy…

Love these two next ones!

Keeping up with our growth picture…

The family…

Thank you C family! I enjoyed seeing you all today. Cannot believe how much they’ve grown since I last saw them.

Beautiful baby…

Another baby planner has reached her 3 month milestone.. She was quite the doll too! This age is always fun because they’re just starting to smile more and then they have a little more head control. It’s such a difference from the sleepy, curled up, newborn session.

Isn’t she beautiful?

Thank you Miss L. It was so fun seeing you again and how much you’ve grown. I look forward to seeing you in a few months–you’ll be sitting all by yourself by then!

His smile is so cute!

Mr. W and I met up the other day to capture his 3 month session. I have to say I was quite shocked at how big he has gotten. It makes him seem so tiny at his newborn session! The big guy was a little under the weather, but we still managed to get some cute smiles and expressions out of him.

Super Baby!

Love this face!

Happy in mommy’s arms…

I hope you’re feeling better, Mr. W. Can’t wait to see how much more you’ve grown at your next appointment.

Counting down…

I met up with my L family again this past weekend to get a few more ‘maternity’ pictures… We had done a family session back in November for the holidays, but we wanted to capture more traditional maternity pics this time.

An idea mommy wanted to capture… All her men!

Love this!

Umm, okay, so I want these floors and this ottoman for my own studio. Wonder if I can make their living room my studio? LOL!

One more week and Mr. Aven will be here… And a week after that I’ll be introducing him to you all. Cannot wait!
