A beautiful blessing…

Not even two weeks ago, the B family contacted me for a newborn session. You see, the B family was given the opportunity to adopt a beautiful baby boy and she was letting me know that he was coming that very next week. They have quite a neat story, but basically they have wanted to have kids for many years now and was pretty much coming to the realization that it might not happen until Mrs. B got a call. And that call was that this little guy was coming soon (6 weeks to be exact) and they needed to get ready because he would be coming home with them.

Meet Mr. C… He was a dream to photograph. He slept from the moment I got there and until I left. We were done in under an hour and a half!

Meet Mr. C’s big sister. 😉

The new family! Congrats B Family!
Thank you B family… I am honored that you chose me to capture this special time in your life. I look forward to watching Mr. C grow up over this next year. He’s definitely chosen some wonderful parents.

Jen over at Life, Crafts and Whatever told me that you were an amazing photographer… I must say she is correct. Been browsing for about 30 minutes or so at the least and I am amazed at the wonderful ability and eye you have. I hope to one day be as good as you are! Did you ever take classes or did you just learn as you went? All your photos are beautiful, just simply beautiful! – Julie

Thank you for the sweet comments! No classes, just lots of research, online and in books. Oh and lots of practice. Thanks again!

They were glowing…

I met this couple last week and they have been so patient waiting for their sneak peek. Thank you guys! They are expecting their new bundle in less than two months… A baby girl! She is my newest baby planner, so we’ll get to watch her grow over the next year. They were both glowing–love meeting new parents to be!

Meet Mr. & Mrs. O… And the little miss to be!

Thank you O Family for being so patient… I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll be in touch soon when the proofs are ready. Have a Merry Christmas too!

Still lookin for that perfect gift??

How about a gift certificate? JC-Originals has gift certificates in any denomination. They’re ready to go!

Also, coming for 2011 as a new product… Photo Charms. We can use an image from your most recent session or even one of your own personal images as long as it meets the requirements. The charms will come on a ball chain, but they’re also easily made into key chains, bracelets, etc.

I recently had some made of my kiddos and they turned out so good! Contact me for pricing and ordering details

Thanks!

Smiliest 3 month old…

So the other day I met up with one of my baby planners… It’s so neat that I have several that are all within the same timeframe of their baby plan. It’s fun to watch them grow up at the same time. Well, Mr. J here is one of the smiliest of them all. He woke up from a nap, got his clothes on and was ready to go!

Isn’t he adorable?

Almost ONE!

Miss L is almost one, so we spent a little bit of time together this weekend to capture some shots for her 1st Birthday Invites. She was such the trooper because it was cold! We were fast though, so the Little Miss didn’t have to be out there for long…

Oh and let me preface this by saying that I played around with the editing on these… Since they’ll be for an invite, I tried several things for fun!

So cute!

If I could kiss those cheeks…

Seriously! Miss K has the most kissable cheeks and if I knew I wouldn’t freak parents out, I would be kissing those cheeks. So sweet! I can’t believe she’s already 3 months old… Seems like yesterday I was just there photographing her as a sweet, sleepy newborn!

Thank you S family! It was great seeing you the other day… Miss K is precious as ever and I hope she has a wonderful 1st Christmas!

There’s no place like home…

Saturday morning I met up with a fantastic family to capture some moments in their home. You see they’ve recently gotten married, moved into a new house, etc. and never had family portraits taken. So, we managed to do a little bit of outdoor stuff with some indoor.

Meet the G family!

It was a pleasure meeting you all… I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll be in contact soon when your proofs are ready.

Trouble in email land….

If you follow me on Facebook, then you probably already know, but today something went wrong with my JC-Originals email. Not good when you’re running a business! We’ve since restored what we can, but from the looks of it, I’m missing emails from November 15th up until yesterday. Since that’s the most recent stuff that I’m still possibly working on, it’s no bueno! We’re working on getting it, but it may not be retrievable according to my hosting company.

If you’ve sent me an email since then and have not received a reply, please email me. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for understanding…

And just for fun, one from today.

Ending the weekend in a bang…

Wooo! Been on a posting spree today from all the great shoots I had this weekend. Yesterday was no exception. After cheering on our great friend at the Dallas White Rock Marathon, I met up with the M family at the Arboretum.

It was a pleasure meeting you all. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll be in touch soon when the rest are ready!
