Ever been so tired?

She looks so sweet and comfy, doesn’t she?

Until you back up and start to wonder, where is she?

And you realize… That can’t be comfortable at all!

Little story: Haidyn had fallen asleep on the couch for naptime (normal occurence) and I went to my bedroom to do some work. About an hour and a half later she comes and sits beside me–my computer is just to the right of the PC. She acts like she wants to get on the computer with me and before I knew it, she had fallen back to sleep. I guess she was pretty tired!

The first shot is probably one of my favorites of all time. What a great moment to capture.

I remember you telling me about that! Too funny!

They get it from their daddy…

So I was reading my sister-in-law’s blog earlier about her triplets’ well child visits and it reminded me that all my kids have been to the doctor this week and I have current weights on all of them. Since I don’t really use baby books, I thought I’d post them here for memory sake! You can skip this post–it won’t have pics and I’m sure this isn’t the most interesting subject!

My Diva… Miss Maddie is a whopping 46 lbs. at almost 7 years old.
My Princess… Miss Haidyn is 32 lbs. at a little over 3.5 years old.
My Little Man… Mr. Caleb is 21.9 lbs. at almost 15 mos.

The crazy thing is that I ran across an email I had sent to friends and family updating them all when Caleb was 5.5 mos. old and he weighed 17.2 lbs. The boy was in 12-18 mos. clothes at 8-10 mos. old, so I bought him 18-24 mos. for this fall/winter. Well, they’re too big! Granted he’s almost 22 lbs, but he is a lean machine. His 12-18 mos. pants are actually too big. I have to roll the waist to make them tighter. And to think that his sister, that is 2.5 years older, is only 10 lbs. heavier! He is just constantly on the go, so his metabolism much be super high.

I guess it’s a good thing to have the skinny gene…

That’s all for now… Back to our regular program!

Looks like Caleb and Samuel are the same weight. Lisa was telling Craig he is currently 22 pounds. And my big boy Tyler is a little over 19. I may be passing clothes down to you two before long. LOL!

  2. Jill Cornelius

I’m telling you… Once they get mobile, they turn into little lean machines! I’m glad I hung onto his pants from last Spring. He can still wear the bigger shirts because otherwise they’d be too short, but it’s just crazy that 10 months ago he was already 17.2 lbs. I’m trying to remember, but I think around 7.5 mos. he was right at 20 lbs., so his weight has really slowed down. The girls were 24 lbs. at 2 years, so he’s still bigger than they were.

  3. Angela

I was going to tell you that I had some clothes for Caleb, but he and Chase are the same size. He is in 18 month pants (and I usually have to roll the waist0 and 24 month tops. I think Ethan and Haidyn weigh exactly the same (fitting since they are 3 days apart in age) Blake is only 36 pounds (fully clothed) at 6, so I seriously doubt that he will be as big as Maddie when he is 7!!

Did you guess the ‘E’ Siblings?

If so, then you got it right… That is Brother E and Sister E from the Girlies Session we had back in the spring.

Without further hesitation, I bring you their sneak peek! It’s a big one, so sit back.

Then I introduce their cousins!

Group Shots

Couple of fun ones!

Thanks E Siblings and cousins for such a great session. Your barn is a photographer’s dream, especially one like me that loves all things ‘rustic’! I’ll be in touch when the rest of your proofs are ready.

Guess who came back to visit me?

I thought this picture was so sweet… Almost as if they’re telling each other secrets!

I’m sure these moments are very few and far between, but when we capture them, they definitely bring a smile to all our faces!

Sorry, just one for now… I’ll be back later with a much bigger sneak peek. They brought cousins this time too!

Be sure to scroll down to see my family’s day at the park–I was scoping out a location and made it a family outing.

A day in the park!

Yesterday we headed to Richardson to check out a location I had booked for this coming week. Since I had never been there before I needed to find out when the best light would be and just exactly where the ‘waterfalls’ were. We ended up making a little family outing out of it. Be forewarned… lots of pics!

First we have the falls…

Then we have the kiddos… Since we don’t have any trees or changing leaves near our house, they had tons of fun in the leaves!

Mommy and the kiddos… Ignore my pose… I was about to stand up because Kev was walking off and then all the sudden he took a picture of us while he was upside down (hard to explain), but it definitely got everyone laughing!

Daddy and his kiddos

Daddy and his boy again!

This is a great location for several different scenaries! We found some little pockets off the river with stone walls, there were a couple of bridges, etc. Oh and in the hour or so that we were there, we saw at least 4-6 other photographers doing shoots there! It was neat to see the different styles and the way the photographers presented themselves.

{Random Things}

[THANK YOU]
A big thank you to my repeat and new clients that have booked for this Holiday Season! I am just about booked for sessions on the weekend dates. I do still have a few left (and more weekdays), so contact me soon if you’re wanting to get in on the Custom Holiday Card Wagon. Choo-choo! LOL! Sorry, had to do it.

UPDATED: I am booked for the weekend sessions now. I have a few weekday sessions left if you’re still wanting to get an appointment!

[CHANGES]
2009 is going to be a big year for JC-Originals Photography! I have several goals I have set for myself and really want to take my passion to photograph all of you to the next level. Be on the watch for a more detailed post in December or early January!

[WANTED]
I’ve been on the lookout for some new props. I’ve been searching Craigslist, but just not coming across what I would really like to have. I want an old, vintage velvet (possibly high back) chair. Here are some ideas of what I’m looking for… These pictures are courtesy of Ebay or Craigslist listings. But most are P/U only and too far to pick up!

This one is my absolute favorite! But it is in Michigan… Wah!

These next two would be my next picks, but I prefer the green color… But really any color would do.

My last pick, but still better than what I have, which is nada, zilch, nothing. So if you have something like this that you’re wanting to get rid of or if you are a garage/estate sale goer and see one… Call me! Please!

I think that’s it for now! Stay tuned in the coming weeks for several sneak peeks…

Mr. S’s Bigger Sneak Peek!

I finally got around to picking more of my favorites. Honestly, there were so many I was having a hard time.

Thanks again guys! I truly enjoyed this session.

She does! I typically don’t show as many proofs as I will, but it was too hard for me to choose… We took so many pics that day, but we found so many neat spots… It was good to venture outside of RW!

  6. Alisa

Incredible pictures Jill!! Of course Brooke and Samuel are great subjects to work with!!!

As requested…

Be sure to scroll down to the ‘After the Rain’ post to see the before shots as requested by a reader.

It’s kind of fun to see where a picture starts to compared to how you see it on here, so I thought I’d share!

Maddie has a secret…

She got to be my helper today!

And for the most part, she was a great helper… She was definitely able to get Mr. S to smile!

I’ve been photographing Mr. S since he was 1. It’s definitely been fun to see him grow and capture all these memories for his family.

Thank you Mr. S and mommy! We had fun today… And this is really a sneak of a sneak… I’m so tired, I’m going to turn in and I’ll be back in a day or so with a bigger sneak peek!

Be sure to scroll down for another post I did earlier tonight.
